I'd say in the area of $500 or so for the Ex. Especially with the size and electronics of the piece. Should look pretty damn stellar in person.

after what happened with the speeder bike, I could see the ES being quite low for this guy. Price will still be high, but no way there is gonna be more than 1000 total of these guys (and I doubt there is an ex, the piece itself is exclusive enough).

Love to have one. But if it costs as much as the scout on bike ones, it will be out of my budget. I'll satisfy with the 12" ver. with the throne anyway. I could post him the same.

Yeah with all the electronics in it I don't think it will be a solid piece :)

Indeed. Not even the 1:6 throne wasn't a solid piece. It was hollow.

Anyway I think I'll pass on this PF, I'm saving money for something big that I hope to get by the end of the year. On the other hand somehow I'm sure due to the high price this will be available for a while like the Scout on Speederbike PF. I might get it later...

This has been my most anticipated statuary collectible of ALL-TIME. Started my SW room around one of those life-sized cardboard cut-outs of the Emperor sitting in his chair. Now, come this fall, the circle will truly be complete. Price isn't even a consideration w/ this one for me, but w/ all the bells and whistles I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the $649-$699 range. Can wait for to see it Feb 1st!

If the Speeder Bike is 800, this will be at least 800, probably closer to a grand.

Then again, saw a Speeder Bike go on Ebay for 400 and shipping a few weeks ago so the edition size will need to be small for this. I have doubts whether there will even be an exclusive for this piece so there should be plenty of options.

As an aside, I really like Sideshow's new policy of charging a NRD. It keeps the edition sizes reasonable, the scalpers away, and does force you to make a responsible decision and ask yourself if you REALLY want that piece.

Now if they would only tighten up the quality control and paint apps so it is actually FAIR to charge an NRD and I'd be truly satisfied.

This definitely won't be around for a long time even with a high price, most collectors just didn't give a crap about the Speederbike, this is possibly the biggest Star Wars item Sideshow will ever make. If the portrait of Palpatine isn't horrible this will definitely become a grail piece.

One of the things that has me excited about this piece is the fact that this PF will make an amazing stand alone piece. Sure you could add a companion piece later down the line but it will still be an amazing sight having this collectible in ones collection.

"You know you want this"

I have Sith Anakin and Vader on the bottom shelf, Dooku and Maul on the middle shelf, and I so want this to crown the top shelf.

I'll probably have to go 3rd party with this PF, but I definitely want one. The only thing that bothers me is SS' new deposit requirement. I'd really prefer NOT to put money down on something based on pictures.
