I've always been sceptical of the reports that they got on well as they both have immense egos which would inevitably have clashed.

If nothing else it could mean a move to Chelsea won't happen :)

I think he's going to stay at Madrid for the rest of his contract and then either return to United or go somewhere like PSG for one last big payday.

Apparently Ronaldo won't even talk about a new contract with Real according to a TalkSports Spanish journalist. I don't support Man Utd but if I was Ronaldo I would go back there. The fans love him & there equally as big as Real Madrid globally as a team & have a solid setup. I don't think he'd ever join a team like City, PSG or Monaco. Bayern would be a great team to play for as well.

We all know Arsenal can afford Rooney, we know they can afford Cavani to if they wanted to but will the buy any of them? NO

Will any of them even want to come to Arsenal?

The board just want to get the supporters excited like they do each summer & then they'll buy 2 or 3 players of potential in the last minute & if they come good sell them on.

Oh & Wenger will have a moan about Chelsea & City's spending power

I take it they pull the same trick every year then?

Perez is doing everything he can to hold into Robaldo. Probably because without him, Real Madrid will suffer.

Yep.

The latest speculation says that United are prepared to offer him £300,000 a week and £65 million to Real Madrid.

They want the deal done for August 8th so they can announce him the following day where he'll play in Rio Ferdinand's testimonial.

Unfortunately the source of the info is The Sun, so there's a 99.9% chance it's bollocks.

Nani is apparently available for £8.5 million,

Jose Mourinho again gives his backing to David Moyes,

Lionel Messi may be in need of a dog named Rosie,

And Liverpool FC continue to be dragged down by an idiot,

Has the dumbass still not worked out that diving, handballing, making racist remarks and actually BITING an opponent on two seperate occasions in his career isn't the best way of endearing himself to folk?

Eric Cantona didn't follow his antics at Selhurst Park in 1995 by running for presidency of the Crystal Palace Supporter's Club so what does Suarez expect?

Lots of strange things happening in football lately. Looks like Ronaldo has clear chance of BaLon Dor if Messi goes to gaol. Cheering! :yess:

I doubt Messi will go to jail, the protection he recieves in Spain will likely go far beyond referees :lol

Ronaldo has now denied signing an extension to stay at Madrid until 2018,

I think he's being smart by using the speculation to manouever Madrid into a corner and my gut feeling is he'll stay where he is, despite everything they're still his boyhood club when all's said and done.

But I wish him well, he showed a level of respect to United that I was genuinely suprised by in those 2 games and also his reaction to the news of Fergie's retirement so fair play to him.

Messi being convicted and jailed has as much chance as Ronaldo had when he was accused of rape in 2007... you have to be deluded to believe that Messi even handles his taxes or returns. And if there is a penalty or whatever I think itll at most be just a heavy fine.

And if Ronaldo wins a Balon D'Or this time, then itll be props to him for being the only one till now to win one without winning a single major title in the domestic (League/League Cup) or European arena. And I guess even playing significantly less matches (due to injury) Messi ended the year as the highest scorer in all European Leagues... and his total assists too surpass Ronaldo... so statistically too itll be pretty one sided.

Barcelona 11/12 no titles, nuff said. Messi evading his taxes is confirmed, ronaldos rape case was probably an attention seeking girl. The case had no evidence

11/12 Barca won the Copa Del Rey (Spanish Cup)... and Im not counting the Club World Cup, European Super Cup, Spanish Super Cup titles - as they are not really major domestic title or European titles (ok maybe the European Super Cup and Club World Cup is)

So yes... Not 'nuff said as you see... PLUS Messi broke 2 records Highest Ever Goals in a season in Europe, Highest No of Goals in a Calender Year to top it off...

And as for Messi evading taxes... read the report carefully... he has been accused by a public prosecutor... its NOT a case until a judge accepts it. Similarly Ronaldo was accused and he still had to go to court etc etc...

and like I said, even if the case against him, he will maximum get a fine, a penalty is awarded to those with a previous record etc etc...
