Man Utd owner Malcolm Glazer dies aged 86

https://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/27614216

I wonder what this will mean for Utd now

Little will change, Malcolm Glazer was owner in name only as following a stroke in 2006 his health declined to the point where he barely left his house in Florida.

His sons Joel and Avram will continue to run the club, if they've any desire to see that their cash cow doesn't run dry they'll sanction a large scale spending spree in order to give Louis Van Gaal the best chance of clearing up the mess made by Moyes.

That is a strange one. He is a very unconventional choice of striker for them. Likely be a bench warmer.

Yeah guys it's a strange one. With Suarez, Sturridge & Sterling all starters in those top three attacking positions any striker bought this summer was going to be a bench warmer. Lambert will be a better option coming off the bench than Aspas I guess. We need to get Lallana, Lovren & Moreno signed up asap too.

Lambert is better than that. I think moving to Liverpool would be a huge mistake for him. I can imagine the lure of a big club like Liverpool would be massively tempting, not to mention the wage increase, but purely from a footballing perspective, it would be a disastrous decision if he decided to move there.

Liverpool need a couple of decent centre backs, Shipping 51 goals in the league is too much. You always need a good centre back partnership ( Vidic / Ferdinand )
( Keown / Adams ) or a really outstanding centre back. (Kompany). Who could forget that horror show from Kolo Toure, at West Brom.

If Cesc signs for Chelsea I'll be devastated. I can live with Costa going there but Cesc........that's too much :banghead

Even though we don't actually need him, seeing him in a Chelski shirt next season will be a bitter pill to swallow :(

Wow that was out of the blue!

You'd have to say great signing tho.

Matic Ramires
Willian Fabregas Hazard

Costa

Hate to say it but pretty awesome if you ask me.

Fair play to Chelsea for getting some of their transfer business done so quickly.

United's chief executive is so useless they'll end up signing nobody, he should have been sacked along with Moyes.

They went close last season and threw it away with a pretty poor strike force.
I think Costa will score quite a few and the midfield looks really strong.

Pathetic! Cesc may not have performed well in Barca, but to have him sold to Chelsea... worst decision ever. Sadly they were the only club willing to buy him, specially now that Lampard is gone. Arsenal should have bought him back, they had first refusal and at a lower price, plus they really need a player who knows the club inside out like him. He could have been the perfect person to bring back the shine in the stars already in the team but performing below potential.

Wow, I've got nothing. I haven't felt this way about Arsenal before. I hope they know what they're doing because the pressure is gonna be on them more so than ever before with this decision. One of the best mids in the world at that price and passing on him :cuckoo:

****ing prove me wrong Arsene PLEASE!

I agree and to think they still will bring in a few more players to add to those amazing two signings :thud: Easily one of the strongest midfields around. Cesc feeding Costa and Hazard is gonna be so tough to watch :yuck :censored
