Yup. Stan Winston was a legend. Period.
Sideshow supplied distributors before direct customers for a short time once, which was annoying and made no sense. I could understand with EB if some of these dealers were more convenient to supply direct from the factory rather than ship to wherever direct customer order stock goes out from and from there to dealers.
In scourig over stills and photos from T2 compari g to this figure and getting excited, I believe more than ever, Stan Winston was a talent like no other that probably deserves even more recognition than he gets. Other than the eye. and even that only jumps out at certain angles, it takes an effort to realize the Endo is makeup over Arnie's face, I can't believe what he pulled off and it's a shame that CGI has taken over because artists with such a skill will fade away. As much as CGI artists need skills, I think something like the T-800 makeup inspires more awe at what was achieved because you really have to be creative and skilled to figure out how to do that.
a-dev go sleepy for real?
. How lame of a-dev.

Man, I don't want to ignite a fanboy war here, but I just dropped in at the DX 13 thread after a long absence, and you can really see the inaccuracies in that figure after looking at this one for so long. While i like the semi-BD head, the full BD is just, kinda bad imo. It looks so soft, or something? idk I can't put my finger on it. But I also noticed the tear on the right arm jacket sleeve and I really dont think that was there. Lastly, the knee drives me nuts, the pants were never that "open" there.
I still don't think it's a bad piece per say, but I'm just thankful that I was able to order the 1/4. Yuo can just see that sometimes bigger is better, and the larger canvas contributes to HT being trumped in a few instances. Adding tears where there isn't is just laziness, or not paying attention. Had there been no other option, I'd be singing a different tune admittedly
Maulfan, I don't know if you have the book The Winston Effect but it is also a great book that has many photos from the T2 movie that show the many makeup effects that Stan used in the movie. He was a great pioneer and will never be forgotten.
