If you look at Enterbay's testing video, the voice is clearly Peter Weller. Unless they changed it back to Burke's dialogues in Robo3.

The armor uses a special painting technique so it will have different shading depending on the light.

Btw, I found the quote on facebook regarding the faceplates:

Laurent Guts: There is something i don't understand, why 2 faceplate with closed mouth? The left one is Weller and the right is Burke?
ENTERBAY: Well spotted, but they are of completely different facial expression.

This may be a misunderstanding? Enterbay never acknowledge that the face plates are based on two actors but rather the two similar style closed mouth face plates are in fact two different facial expressions.

On the Chinese official statement. It's confirmed that the sculptor is SCUDURIA again, in case anyone is wondering. What's interesting is that they also mention a special gift... which I knew of because when they first post the box image there was also a small white box with ENTERBAY printed on it.
And I have to say Enterbay are sneaky, even when they post this picture the covered the right corner so that you can see most of the ROBOCOP logo but not the end where it probably has a 3.

That final picture pretty much sums up my feelings too. Bill thought he was being sneaky as Hell trying to persuade us that this was a Robocop 1 figure. And that picture pretty much shows that. Sneaky ******* for sure. I'll buy this down the line. It's a fine figure for what it is, plus the Weller lower face sculpt seals a purchase for me as I can display as Robocop 1 without the Burke head and flight pack. UPS should be here soon too with my new ROBOCOP 4K Blu-Ray. Going to pop that in tonight and watch it. Cannot wait.

I'd buy that for a dollar! :rotfl

No but seriously. I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that it was not a Weller headsculpt. I was hoping for the ultimate 1/4 collectible from RoboCop 1. The only fail here, besides the way Enterbay handled this release, is only the unmasked headsculpt so... The figure itself looks amazing with the helmet on and using the unofficial Weller faceplate it looks like a RoboCop 1 figure. I'll probably buy this figure later but first I'd like to see some reviews and in-hand pics.. interesting to see also if Enterbay has done something about their awful quality control.

Some feature can be done using a remote control? Did I read that correctly? As tis is something I want to see more of. Imagine clicking a button to activate all of your Iron Mans or any of the figures with lights? Proper pimp that if could happen.

That's right...I remember seeing the remote control shaped like the OCP logo in an old video long time ago.

Head Turns left to right and Gun Holster is activated via the remote. Pretty interesting features

Typically bad overreaction here. The figure as a whole is Weller Robo 1 right down to the expression. They've just packed it with the ****e that is Burke's Robo3.
Waste of money having these extras but I'll live with it knowing it'll be displayed without the them.

It's a strange outcome whatever the measure! Do you think you'll still pull the trigger on this a-dev? I'm seriously considering it regardless!

Based on the how the figure looks it would be a definite buy, regardless of any sly tactics of never previously mentioning Robocop 3. And if you look at the chronology of events regarding this figure, its quite understandable how people assumed this would be from the original film - the poster listing all their licenses just said 'Robocop'. When we finally saw some pics it sure looked like Weller's mouth (to everyone but maybe Khev who says he always suspected). So I think everyone quite understandably assumed it was from the original film but that Enterbay had decided to add in certain extras like the jetpack and the gun-arm to fill out the set. For it then to suddenly be revealed as being in fact entirely based on Robocop 3, yeah that was a surprise.

All that said though, the figure looks brilliant. If you were looking to display a 1:4 Robocop in pristine condition with helmet, then this should be good enough regardless that it says Robocop 3 on the box. And particularly so if indeed two of the faces are sneakily based on Weller, not Burke. Then its merely the case that the finish might be based on the third film rather than 1 or 2 but most people don't even notice that there's a difference in that regard between the three films.

So no I don't think this whole thing should be as offputting to as many people as it seems to be. I mean if people need an excuse not to spend the money by all means use that excuse for yourself. For me, I should use it as an excuse but I am weak. I may go ahead with this even though financially I could really do with passing. But my attitude is they probably aren't gonna make another one and this figure could become very sought after in years to come.

I hear ya dude! It was certainly a sneaky bait and switch on Enterbay's part and I'd like to think Bill would have anticipated the backlash from Robocop purists. Adding Weller's likeness while wearing the helmet certainly pads the blow slightly.

On another note, I've actually got a mirror backed display cabinet coming tomorrow that I bought for the living room specifically for my quarter scale Terminator figures and I reckon Robo would fit well into the fold, especially stood side by side with the Endoskeleton. Added incentive to pull the trigger lol.

I just hope the plaque on the stand reads Robocop and not Robocop 3 lol.

I wasn't focusing on the mouth so much with the reveals due to all the red flags with the suit color and accessories. The one mouth with slightly pursed lips does look a bit like Weller's but the whole thing always screamed Robo 3 to me.

I guess Timcent must have jumped the gun putting this guy up for order before taking him back down. No one on ebay seems to have him up yet.

I'm thinking it's not about the rights for the movie but probably because Hot Toys signed an exclusive right with Peter Weller that prevents Enterbay from using his likeliness. Movie rights shouldn't have any conflicts when HT is doing 1:6 and EB doing 1:4.
Still, it's Bill's to tendency to hide any possible flaws that hurts Enterbay's PR. He only posts good news. If there is even a slight hint of negativity he would be dead silence until there's news about another product.

well, I'm not so sure about that. I remember reading an interview where howard pretty much states that they buy 1/4 licenses too just "in case" they decide to make them, which is essentially code word for them trying to c-block enterbay from dipping into it. so essentially just cause they're just doing 1/6 doesn't necessarily mean they don't also have the 1/4 rights as well. I get why he does that from a business standpoint, but it doesn't make it any less crappy

EB made a bad move calling this a Robocop 3 figure.
It would have been smarter to call it a Robocop trilogy figure ;)

Totally agree. It's a Robocop figure with all the accessories to either make a Robocop 1, 2 or 3 figure (though I don't think there's much from Robocop 2 in this thing). After talking with some friends, we are definitely going to buy but its not a priority right now.

If i said i was not dissapointed that would be a lie.

I mean, for USD500, i think budget wise, for me it was either 2 HT 1/6 Robos- Reguar and BD or the Enterbay version the "supposed" one Robo to end all Robocops with Weller HS.

After an hour or so of digestion time to let everything sink in, it is now... wait for HT's move on the BD.

Enterbay's don't sell out quickly like HT figures do in HK. If i don't like the BD offering from HT i could come back to this.

If it was either this or the regular HT, i'd pick this one without a doubt, it still looks great.

If HT somehow pulls a Burke (unlikely i know, but not impossible), then it will also be EB for me. We'll see....
