Looks to me like they cut paint ops to save money. On both figures, that is the shine of the unpainted plastic. I actually enjoyed the movie (yes, I'm insane, yadda yadda, whatever) and was planning to buy these- they would have been my 1st Enterbay figures. I have pretty much lost interest now because they look like their heads are coated in snot. Way to go, Enterbay, you just turned me off of trying out your product.

Are you sure they're in stock? I have them on order, but haven't heard anything about it.

I assumed because they said they are in stock that they were. I see that AlterEgo has them listed as November but they are not in stock. Just assumed, but maybe not.

wtf?! goku looks like a damn zombie in that picture!

piccolo's head looks really off. it's more triangular now. glad i didn't order them. i was looking forward to the goku one but he looks really awful.

BBTS mentioned them being in stock in their last newsletter mailing. That's what got me to look up this thread to see what they look like. Glad I didn't preorder. Unless I see just wonderful pictures I won't bother, because it's obvious at least in the 7toys7 pictures that the heads are molded in a slick surface plastic, and that no matte surface shading paints were used at all. Big, big turnoff. Looks like Enterbay just phoned that one in.

Notice how almost all the pics are in low light with no flash? Now check this pic out from the same guy:

You can kinda see the shine. I still think it's just the material the head sculpts are made out of that make them look like crap in pictures. But I don't know. I get the feeling if this same person took a pic with normal flash the figure would look all sweaty and F'ed up.

It really makes you wonder. I'm even considering picking them up, and hitting their heads with a little dullcote to normalize them.

I also wonder about that ebay seller whose pics we were looking at a few posts back- (7toys7)- he seems to be one of the largest "parted out" sellers on ebay. I have often wondered if he is getting factory seconds really cheap or something to be able to turn an above average profit. I have bought quite a few parts from him, and some pieces have seemed "not quite as nice" as fresh from the box pieces I got.

My only concern about this is that both sets of in-hand pics that I've seen (prior to the newest set above) show a badly misplaced iris/pupil on the right eye. The first is from 7toys7, the second from a member at Dragonballtoys.com.

I tried contacting BBTS to see if they could do a quick QC on mine before shipping but they said it was impossible. I figure I'll take my chances and if it's funky I'll work it out somehow.

The shine doesn't look nearly as bad on the second pic, though. And that is some harsh lighting.
