Not sure, I think I was just shocked to see the neck joint was just so different since I went to the trouble of ensuring I wouldn't be caught out by it when I had plans to put the 2nd head on a 3.5 body (rather than assuming)

This figure isn't bad but has changed so dramatically from what was originally shown and stated ...this just pissed me off in particular.

But I'm not going to keep going. I hope everyone that gets it enjoys it.

I'm not an Enterbay hater. I still think that their Bruce Lee HD statues are EASILY the best Lee collectibles. I own both and will continue to buy those.

wow...I actually asked Enterbay directly about fitting the new GoD heads to 3.5 bodies (in mid March) and they said the new heads would fit the old bodies.

Seriously, can EB do anything right? They can't even answer a simple question correctly.

I have to say I really love that magnetic neck post, it is such an elegant solution to the problem. The pull/push of the magnet makes removing/replacing the head so easy and is kind of satisfying. The range of motion is excellent.

So you'd have to ask if the only reason they changed it was just for the sake of it or because the EVision system demanded it (though it doesn't look to me that this was the case - I don't have the new HS in hand, maybe one of you guys can answer that).

If it ain't broke, don't fix it - innovation that doesn't deliver an improvement on what came before it is not really innovation, it's gimmicky.

Lj, you never have issues trying to hold poses with the magnetic heads? I always seemed to have to futz with a head to get it to stay in the exact place I want it, so as much as i like not having to pop heads on and off via ball joint, that magnetic head did test my nerves quite often.

That all makes sense - I have never had this Bruce in a collared outfit. If it pops off or is difficult to pose with a collar on, then I can see why they would want to redesign it.

Yeah trying to position the head on Kato wasn't easy if you weren't posing it face forward. Even on the lower collared kung fu outfits on other 3.5 bodies I always had a tough time getting the magnetic heads to stay exactly where i wanted them

Yeah. Using magnets to allow ease of swapping hairpieces and holding accessories like hats, glasses, etc. to the head is awesome. But as the main mechanism holding the head to the neck post - doesn't always work well.

I PO'd EB GOD back in March, and while anxioustly waiting for my GOD to arrive and searching forever in vain for some (p)review photos of the actual product, I stumbled on this forum. And I have been really enjoying many o good conversation here not to mention inputs from pro collectors and gee-whiz facts from Bruce Lee experts. I've finally decided to join in on the converstation. Yay!!

I am whachamacallit a compulsive collector, and when I first found out about EB's FOF set, I was floored by the artistry of Arnie Kim to portray the essense of my childhood hero. I was determined to collect all EB BL figures, and I went on to ebay for WOD, ETD ver a & b, FOF, Kato, HD collection 1 & 2, and, although not Arnie Kim's, HT DX04. (WOD and ETD ver a&b ended up being a scam, and luckly I got my money back. But I have since come to my senses and decided to invest my 1500 bucks on future BL releases.) I wasn't too impressed by the original GOD HS, and I bashed one together instead with ETD ver b HS replica, BL 3.5 body, yellow suite, and shoes I found on ebay. I also bashed one together with Judo/Karate suite and BL3.5 and FOF calm face HS. I have to say that I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF BRUCE LEE!!

Many folks are pointing out very legitimate concerns with this latest EB BL GOD release, and I whole heartedly agree with many of them. I sure hope it looks better in person than most of the photos I've seen. My biggest concern at first was the head and body proportion. Judging from the photos I've seen so far, I do think the head is just a hair too big. But since I rather enjoy caricaturesque aggrandizations by figure sculptors not only to capture the life-like photo realism but to make figures bigger than life, I do not have a huge problem with it. Or that is how I console myself.

I would also like to know what your biggest concern is with this release. Gripes about the stunning difference between proto and actual product aside, what is your one biggest complaint about this GOD BL as it stands?

Im glad the older BL bodies are done away with. The only good thing about them was the hand attachments, before the BL3.5 they were a pain to keep in a dynamic pose and not have instability issues. The newer body is another step forward in the 1/6th world. I hope it turns out to be a success so we can get more innovative products in the future.

The only thing that worries me is what Gruff Old Bear got. Paint rubs... It would be a pain to ship EB back the heads and then wait for a replacement and then hope they dont get damaged en-route

That's exactly how I found this site, I was doing a search for an item I was interested in. The more Bruce Lee addicts we have here, the better!

To answer your question, I'm most concerned with the sculpt making through transit without getting damaged. Paint rubs would really make me sad, and having to ship them back to Enterbay like Gruff did & wait weeks for replacements would be a buzz kill.

Other than that I really have no complaints atm since I do not have this in hand, but the lack of communication from Enterbay is the 1 glaring negative that seems to make us all grumpy.

I have just visited Enterbay Store in Hong Kong, and I got to see what the new version of the Game of Death Damage (serious) and Smiling figures looked like in real life. My personal opinion is that they look so much better in real life compared to photos we have all seen before when actually standing in front of the figures and looking at them m with my own eyes myself. I have tried to take a few more pictures of these two beautiful figures - but the pictures do not fully gave justice to what they look like as I have to say that I am not a professional photographer genius, nor did I use a good camera.

I am a detail freak myself, and have to admit I also was quite disappointed and very sceptical when I saw the first photographs of this new developed body from which was displayed at Enterbay's figure stand in Bejing, and yes I actually had my strong doubts if I was going to get these, but now that I have seen them myself with my own eyes displayed in the window of Enterbay Store I have totally changed my mind !

I am getting this new "Game of Death" figure release !!

Reason for pre ordering Seems the smiley head didn't change that much (if any) from proto, to what buyers will get Surely they can mass produce that BD head right?

I'm toying with the idea of getting a second wooden dio, but not sure if both would fit in a Detolf together on the same shelf

two dios together would look absolutely awesome but that would take some serious hits to the bank account. i'm real eager to find out how much the scalpers on ebay will be charging for the dio set myself

And rawkneehuang, my brown shipper came through NY Customs pretty well, but as I posted before, the slipcase with the edition number (#0098) was torn on one corner, and the lid to the box is split on three edges. Customs did not play nice when they examined the contents.

oops i have to retract my earlier statement on the miracle then. that is some serious 'damage' i would be almost in tears if that happened to mine.. speaking of which.. waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting..
