Just this? Seems like anything 1/6 with rubber is bad. My Hot Toys Alice has stains from the costume. This thing has stains from the costume. My Hot Toys Jill Valentine has a little bit of staining but she's all covered up so I didn't let it bother me that much.

I have 1 still in damaged suit and still in pose. I dare not open up and see what had already happen under the suit.....:horror:horror:horror
It might be more than I can expected.

ah I thought you meant the stains were present on your replacement body right out of the pack (which other people have mentioned and seemed to be some sort of rotting)

No, the suit caused the yellow AND black stains this time. The bodies were fine out of the box. There was a small tiny wrinkle on the elbow but I understand how these things are made now.

It's not worth getting another replacement from EB for this. I'm curious, people praise Hot Toys quality so well but yet I have first hand experience at crap that happens just as bad. It's total bull_____ IMO.

What if you toss on a black outfit on the Sarah Connor and the Leonidas? I want to see if their rubber has this kind of chemical reaction. It's either the rubber or just the rubber skin spray.

I've seen some pictures here of the Sarah Connor rubber body tearing just as bad but the inside is composed of just a thick copper wire to help it move and not multiple parts like the EB RM-X.

I'm basically gonna leave the second body in the BD suit in a pose. It won't really break but the small tiny wrinkle may be permanent. It's hidden by the suit so I am not too worried about those because the sleeves are rolled up to where I want them and they won't show on the forearm. I've seen the black stain fade away in the old body I've sent back though, so it's not something that stays forever. Anyhow, that's pretty much it with this set. I hope future releases are easier to deal with.

Yes. Wrinkles will always appear whenever you bend the any parts of the body. I think I will leave that one with suit on from now on.

Cosmostrax, I do not like those brown and yellow stains... :( ...though if you gonna have the suit on it will work.

oh its not just Enterbay.
Check out the '1/6 Hot Toys Quality Control: Whats Goin On?' thread

Yeh HT QC can be just as bad across the dozens of licenses they churn out, but how much was this set again? :lol

Good idea. But then I see a teaser/announcement of a character I like & I'm back :slap

I tell myself I'm only going to stay on the Batman stuff from now on.

And if the next Bruce Lee things are really good. The next 1/4 Bruce Lee may not be a statue but a poseable figure. :gah:

as i said before i'm just a bruce guy.i hope future releases have NO QC issues.fingers crossed

Me too - but I have to admit I have been very tempted to start collecting other figures aswell when I have seen those of great details... :)

Back in action with BL! I've missed a lot in this thread and hoping to ask some silly questions to get me back up to speed with a few things.

I got BL right before I moved and a few months went by before I could take him out fully and set him up. Really love the movie set stuff, super well done. Still liking the heads, the smiling one moreso. considering beating up the BD one a bit more but might want to gt a spare just in case.

Now my questions.

1) I noticed the parted out BD suits on ebay have more prominant footprints. Is there a discrepancy between footprints? I want to make mine better, do we have any tips for doing so or examples of really well done ones?
2) Same goes for the BD head. Any standard mods that improves it that everyone;s doing (like the adding of the beards and removing of the eyeliner on all the Induana Jones heads) Any full repaints that have been amazing and inspirational out there?
3) Lastly I too got the RMX body and hate how it peels compared to the original one. so I'm using the original one as the shirtless option and keeping the other one covered up. right now the jumpsuit is wrapped tight around his waist and hes sitting in his chair, should I be worried about yellow staining with this?

sweet jebus, I haven't checked this thread in a while....

This rubber body has to be the biggest modern 1/6 fail ever. Has anything else been this bad?

I would say only the new HT EX Batman Begins. Which keeps getting worse and worse!:(

I can try and help with a few of your questions Ray..

1: The footprint: This is easy enough to do, just dampen the suit and using a black acrylic wash dab it onto the wet fabric, I did it and it worked pretty well.
2: The Head: You remember I repainted mine? It's the opposite of Indy, it needs some shadowing around the eyes and nose. I will see if I can find that pic..
3: I haven't had any yellow staining, I would look after your original body as much as you can though, they look far superior IMO to the RMX bodies, which are matte and peel. The original body (although more fragile) looks more like skin.

And my repainted foot, might have gone a little too dark!

Thanks for posting that Rory it reminded me about why i wanted to repaint my head in the first place!! your repaint makes the other one look half finished, truly great.

I also think your footprint looks just right in terms of darkness, I watched GOD on the weekend and it was surprisingly dark. he also has an equally dark spot on his right hip that EB left out.

Thanks for the tips on dampening the suit first. I would not have thought of that but i bet it helps the dabs of paint spread naturally.

Hello Raymond,

When you make the footprint clearer - make sure it is in the midle of the chest, and not on the left side only.
