I really did miss that the body was going to have joints until just recently. But even so the drop in quality from the proto to this is quite far compared to other figures from EB.

Its hard to lead with such a badass looking figure to end up with the above.

I'd said I hadn't had the QC issues others have had and those concerns wouldn't have stopped me getting it. These new pics have nothing to do with bad QC. Its the figure itself that isn't very good.

I'm still not getting the DX EtD but I'm still getting the HT casual Bruce (cause the shirt covers the joints)...nothing changed there.

Well DUH, if any Enterbay stuff live up to their prototype, I would even buy it. But with their recent releases and people having problems with it not looking like the proto..you still rant on about it will be greater than the HT Bruce

Nah, EB don't do revisions, and in any case I can't see how this could be revised without a major overhaul just about every step along the design/manufacture process.

The more I look at this the less of a problem I have with it. I still have huge issues with the way EB have gone about marketing this, but if these pics were brought out as the initial proto pics I don't think people would be complaining the way we all are now.

The wrists are fine when viewed from most angles; the torso is pretty faithfully sculpted to the proto; and it was always going to be the case that any exposed shoulder joint was going to have to accommodate a sodding great ball to allow free range of movement.

The arms remain the weak link, and it appears that most of the problem lies in that ridiculous elbow. So really, it's not a bad figure. Most definitely NOT a 300+ dollar figure, but not a bad figure in itself.

I hope EB has learned a lesson: that the punters are not fools.

there is one solution i could think of to keep everyone happy...just give the two body they developed for this figure...one is the proto like body n the other one is the dismantled joint body...but it's very unlikely to happen though...

No, really, I feel like I've been following this thread closely and I have no idea what he's talking about either. Still, even if SAB or anyone was excited about EB or whatever you're saying, sifu, what sort of thing is that to get all up in arms about, particularly when you say you're talking about comments made several months ago? That's an incredibly weird grudge to hold even if you really aren't mistaking SAB for someone else.

I just don't get what happened here. They've had years of experience and Bruce Lee is what they do best and no one does Bruce Lee better than them. The Hot Toys Bruce Lee is, from what I can tell, one of the greatest figures ever. This Game of Death looked like it was far superior, with a face sculpt beyond my comprehension. The face sculpt is still magnificent, but how did they mess up the body?

Everyone is so quick to insult, but I just don't understand it. Enterbay is not a bad company by any means. Yes the real version isn't as good as the production shots. It's true with all figures not just theirs. The more you shop, the more you perfect the base one, the more disappointing the real one looks. There's a significant drop in quality with the Hot Toys one too. The body however is a different matter. People thought it'd be fragile but this is just bizarre. And yet I cannot pity Enterbay because this mistake is beyond my understanding.

Is it at all possible that the body will change before this one sees its final release?

Their final products often look better than their protos, which is definitely the case with their BL fig.

You stated things in present tense. If you meant to state previous events, put an 'ed' on the end and change it to past tense.

At least with 'now you're the one not reading' you admit you didn't understand my other post before quoting it to call me out on once wanting to buy this...despite the fact my post never denied that.

Saying, 'hey I told you guys so' takes one line. Why the silly melodramatic exaggerations including 'ranting' and 'hooting and hollering'...and now 'running away like the plague' ?

Many people were excited, many people are now disappointed. I'm neither excited now nor raging angry, yet you specifically address me with exaggerated points from conversations months ago when to my knowledge you and I didn't have a problem back then anyway....

All this fighting for the suckiness at Enterbay. The figure sucks in my opinion because it does not justify the cost, kind of like **cough** Indy**cough**.

Is it funny or sad that I'm among the few who thinks this figure rocks more than the Hot Toys ETD Bruce... but can't afford it? A little from column A, a little from column B, I think.

I do have my share of quibbling. Number one being the gumby arms. Had it not been for the fact that Bruce will be clothed GOD style, the arms would be no minor complaint. I'm thinking Enterbay wanted to examine soft skin early on and learn from it before using it on a figure that actually requires it. Whatever the case may be, I wish they went the route Hot Toys took and just used less hidden articulation.

I was hoping Hot Toys' ETD Bruce would look better in hand, but the final product doesn't. I'm hoping Enterbay's new GOD Bruce will at least look as good as the latest pics show. Past experience tells me not to expect that toomuch. I like being optimistic, though.. about things I can't afford.

We are aware of the situation & the displayed fig isn't final yet. Currently we are putting every effort to correct/improve the fig, etc etc..." would have given relief & make a BIG difference!

In term of the HS, I think EB did a better job than HT but we are buying the whole fig not just the face. EB screw up badly, hope there is still time for EB to redeem themselves. I hate seeing their balls got pull out!

I think that would be because that is the final figure and there is no turning back. Unless of course, they delay it another year.

If this is true then their reputation is totally tarnished. Probably EB is thinking most of the time the collectors will display the fig in the yellow jumpsuit so it's no big deal with the ugly body.... hopefully after seeing the violent reactions from the fans (lots of new EB collectors buying for the first time) EB has learned their lesson & redeem themselves in the future.

I'd still lean heavily toward buying if they came out and said, 'due to production issues the rubber body will be scrapped and we will be including TWO BL3.5's with the new GoD set'

I didn't expect it. At least not that horrible. As for the BL3.5s, that would make this considerably less appealing anyway as they've already been there, done that.

This figure is not going to look like the final production piece. I have a FOF and im pretty pissed on how poor EB's paint application. The eyebrows look ridiculous, when compare to HT apps theres no content.
