I am the one who introduced EB to JCVD and without my involvement there wasn't gonna be any high-end JCVD figure
If this is true, then :hi5:

Like the HT smiley Bruce Lee figures, the novelty of owning a celeb JCVD might wear off quickly for me. At least with this JCVD sculpt, I can see a potential Vilain bash, that's if a Vilain outfit is not already included with this set. With the HT smiley Bruce Lee sculpt, it didn't really look right bashed as a movie figure (I tried WotD, which I thought was the movie the smiley sculpt might suit most).

Tweak that sculpt for the better, & I think no matter what outfit it comes with (even a Volvo outfit :lol), I'd want it.

I hope we see a younger version soon!

I also dont get what all the hoopla is about in wanting a younger version as it only makes sense and sure sounds like would be a better seller.

If movie licensing is an issue, they couldve just given us a young VD headsulpt and body. Maybe a few hands.
Then someone would obviously make some outfits for it like they did with Enterbays "Mr Han".
Problem solved! :D

maybe if there is enough demand, someone will sculpt a custom but I think from what dammage is saying, van damme really wants his figure to be a representation of him now..instead of him in his prime.

Yup. I understand it from VD's point of view, but at the end of the day, the figures are made for us...we are the ones who are buying it.
I think its safe to say most collectors would prefer a figure from one of his earlier movies. It would be ideal if we could have both young and older sculpts, but it doesnt seem likely now.

You realise the issue with doing that is the likeness licence. Releases like that doesn't need likeness rights and save money for EB who get their margin by selling the bodies for bashes. With JCVD being officially involved now he wouldn't allow his younger likeness to be exploited without him earning a cut, and for ENTERBAY introducing a licensed sculpt on a body release wouldn't not make it worth their while. So its a deadlocked scenario.

1) It is a matter of pride and dignity to my friend Jean-Claude who I know better than those who never met him in real life and don't have an idea how much does he appreciates mutual respect. When a megastar as him gets the cold shoulder from Hollywood since the early 2000's and he makes a great comeback since 2008, that's something he should be proud of. He did that when he's in his late 40's / currently early 50's. So, here we go...

2) I am not against your wish but do you have a Bloodsport movie character license to make its figure? EB doesn't.

3) The majority of his fans on FB are happy with the current HS, please see https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...&set=a.197465085045.252645.21497365045&type=1
If you can do one of those web traffic researches you can see it was viewed by 894,464 people since 14 hrs, as we speak now.
I do not follow Twitter though.

Really a megastar?maybe 20 years ago, when's the last time he has been in a blockbuster?expendables 2 he was ok but could have been easily replaced by a number of has beens.a comeback would be a big budget movie staring van dam,not a straight to DVD movie.granted I'm still probly gonna get this so I can put him next to Barney Ross but I would still rather have a younger version.

Sudden Death from 95 is his last good movie.

Sudden Death was good fun. I bought the bluray a couple of weeks back. Time Cop is still a favorite of mine.
I've bee following this thread to see just what was going to evolve. I have to say that I'm not very interested in the sculpt that they are going with.

I actually enjoyed In Hell from 2003,i thought he played a good part in that.but yeah Sudden Death was his last biggie so to speak.

I'll say it again... If you'd like to see probably the best JCVD movie where his talents (beyond just kicking) are really on display then I strongly recommend checking out JCVD.

Timecop was always a favourite for me... and I really enjoyed his fight with Stallone in Expendables 2 (Do you want to kill me like a man, or like a sheep?)--the rest of the movie?... Bleah.

I'm interested in seeing the final offering.

I dont even see why we are arguing here.
Dont give a damn rats *** about statistics or facebook likes...
People would prefer a younger Vandamme version thats it.
What vandamme wants is not the issues here, good for him if hes getting what he wanted and that enterbay agrees. I know im not buying this one at retail price even if i like his nowdays looks. enterbay is making a good looking old one, wich is great for those who wants to bash a character from his recent movies we ´ll see how it goes...
Im sure it Will end up with some company doing a young unlicenced version and enterbay and Vandamme losing money...

Those unisol movies directed by Peter hyams are awesome flicks, violent and incredible well directed cant wait to see Ennemies closer.

Re: Reason

You don't have to be sorry.
The fact is I can handle such a post, but I have the right to reply it, right?
When I did, my polite reply was removed with a claim the guy's post is from "the past". Do you find it fair?

LOL, and do you call a post created some hours ago "past"?
I am running some sites myself with millions (not thousands) and I know how to keep it civilized. You don't go rude and tell someone "you are scary obsessed fan" just because he is a fan.

I am fed up of these cheesy posts. How many times I asked to talk about the figure and the star in a decent way even when there are different opinions but some people just enjoy being rude, like that post saying JC's HS is ridiculous because it's not the young look. Why can't he just say "I preferred if it's the young look," therefore he will not buy or buy it. Why the rude term ridiculous to a man who did not insult him? It's like if JC visits this forum tonight, he will read a post by a member telling him "your face looks ridiculous".
And by the way, I actually told JC about this forum...but now, I doubt I will direct him to this thread again as long as some people think his 53 years old age is ridiculous. What a shame and what a rude insults do we have here? It could be said really in a much polite better way...but yet, I find it pointless because I said so many times, it's OVER, we are only getting the current JCVD head sculpt. If people can't see he's still a great megastar after all the 2008 - 2013 career highlights I have posted, then, there is some problem with some people here.

I am asking for some verbal manners and respect here, otherwise I will leave this forum and will know how to remove the violating posts.

I was referring to enterbays business decision as ridiculous......that the idea of a civilian character for an action movie actor, that is ridiculous it would be like doing a harrision ford figure dressed in his favorite halloween costume......it might make harrison happy but nobody would buy it........honestly if you really do represent jcvd and he does come on this forum......you could be out of a job real quick mate.

UniSol for me was more about Dolph than JCVD, just like how I felt it was Robert Patrick whose chilling T-1000 was the highlight for T2 than the already established T-800 as played by Arnold
