The v1 HT Thor and wolverine had that similar problem, but you don't really see too many people complaining bout it. Maybe it's more obvious for MJ's skin color compared to Wolverine/Thor.

This might seem premature of me, but I'm just going to cancel my PO... those defects seem ridiculous! This was going to be my first EB figure, too.

Anybody ever cancelled preorder with CLARKTOYS before? They don't list policy on PO cancellation.
They also changed the shipping date from June to September probably due to the bad QC issue I presume.

seeing how the expensive @$$ limited edition figure is having all these flaws i don't expect much better from the regular retail figure. not cancelling my pre-order yet, but i'm close to doing it. :gah:

Just reply back to the email politely saying you want to cancel the PO. I've done that previously with no problems.

I think everybody should relax until more people start chiming in. People only tend to post if they have something negative to say. There are going to be thousands of figures out there and we are basing the QC on those thousands by a few posts.

BBTS is great for returning items, just hope they have an additional in stock before you send it back.

Thank you, I've done that and they replied quickly saying they will refund my money back(I've already paid them in full).

I might place an order back on later if they fix the QC problem, or the way I see it, wait till yet another version of EB jordan?!:lol
It's a shame tough, because this one really looks amazing and it comes with more of my personal favorite Airjordans of the era.

Should be getting my White 45 and Scarface War version this week.

Please be good.

Make sure you check out the feet, pegs on scarface, I received 4 in total, 3 had issues, one had a "broken ankle" and when I tried to move it just a tiny bit the whole peg snapped off. They had horrible QC issues on these.

Only thing EB can get right are teh heads!

I'll say this till the cows come home - basically if you're looking to make an investment for something in the future, collectibles isn't it. Put your money towards something useful. The $280 you spend on another figure, may not come back to you for A WHILE. And given ebay's fees you'll have to sell at much more just to get that money back.

Toys are meant to be played with, don't become an expensive box collector. You'll just end up with a lot of inventory and a lot of time wasted trying to find buyers for these things you have all your money tied up into.

I agree 100% with this. For a while I was buying every figure that came out because it seemed like they ALL went up in price, but that is when Hot Toys figures were $139 retail and the "expensive" ones were $169, as the prices went up the post market stayed the same, meaning that a $140 used to fetch $220 on ebay a year later, but now its a $200 figure fetching $220 on ebay a year later...

So if you pay $275 shipped for one of the red jersey Jordan figures. List on Ebay and sell for $350 including shipping (say in 2 years when they finally sell out), you will pay 10% to ebay, 3% to paypal, and spend $15 on domestic shipping, that means you net $290 on it, so even though you sold it for $75 more than you paid, you only made $15 profit, and to me $15 profit is NOT worth the risk of selling a $350 figure on fraudbay where buyers get 100% protection and sellers get none, plus you have to hold the figure for 1-2 years and your $275 is basically sitting in a box. there are much better ways to get a 5% return on your money...

And the red figure will probably never be worth more than $350 on ebay because they are making a ton of them and will make more "red jersey" versions in the future.

DO NOT BUY THESE AS INVESTMENTS OR BUY EXTRAS TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS, the industry has changed. Only buy figures you like and want to display. Days of making profits are gone. Personally I never got into the hobby to make money, but it was nice knowing if I wanted to downsize I probably would make a few bucks while doing so (on top of my costs).

Got my White #45 this weekend, only QC issues I noticed at first glance was the back of his head sculpt has an uneven sculpt at the bottom, is this normal or is every one else's perfectly round?

likeness isn't as good as I thought it would be, pictures made it seem dead on, something just seems off to me with it in hand, probably part of the problem is the EB dead eyes...

Clark Toys was great and cancelled my #23 RED pre-order. I told them that I have read a number of complaints with the quality of part and paint.

I will wait until I hear a number of great/good reviews before buying this one. I think this figure looks incredible, but do not want to take a chance getting one of the bad ones.

Enterbay QC up to its old tricks again, eh? I'm still interested in this guy, but the more I see from EB the less enthusiastic I am about their releases in general.

Oh excellent point there. I used to buy Nikes a lot, then sell them when I grew tired of them. Profits were looking positive even with worn shoes. Then I get a paypal case thrown at me demanding $175 refund. I called paypal and they couldn't do anything about it, the credit card company revoked the paypal charge citing the card was "stolen" or "used without permission" or some junk like that. So poof there goes my profits and selling career. Now I only buy what I like. If it's a shoe I like, I'll buy two but with full intent to wear the other one. Selling is a royal pain in the butt. Also had a Texas Instruments $100 graphing calculator I sold on ebay get lost in the mail. Ugh.

I've been thinking this for a bit now. But I wasn't sure if it was simply my mind secretly trying to create a reason for me not to buy :lol

But now that somebody else has mentioned it .....

I opened it outside on a super sunny day, and my initial reaction was :slap, I mean when viewing from 5 ft or more away it looks pretty good and its better than Upper Deck's "premium" resin figure was, but something is off when you look at it up close, not sure if its the paint or something else. Then again 99% of what I have seen of MJ is in pictures and video, I have only seen him in person a few times when I was a kid. so what is off to me may be dead on to others, I know there are figures I own that I think are 100% accurate but there is heavy criticism on these boards of the sculpt.

Was it worth $330, probably not, $200, yes...

For those waiting on QC checks to see how #23 turn out on future runs, don't hold your breath, even if they are okay, the next figure will have issues. The bodies are just BAD (see above post, this is common), EB really needs to redesign them or get a new supplier, with the asking prices you can afford better quality. Give me some EB heads and HT bodies and I will be happy :hi5:

I'm surprised EB actually admitting the issue with the red 23 lol they usually just ignore everyone's complaints. Part of the problem is they rushed to get orders out.

yeah but these Jordan's are going to make or break EB. They have been around a little while but have never done a figure to this scale! they will produce more Jordans than all their previous figures combined!

If there are issues and they go silent, that will turn off so many first time collectors and there are going to be ton's of those brought in by these Jordan figures.

Makes you wonder why they didn't do a few more basketball figures BEFORE Jordan. I think they learned a lot from the Kobe (with the body and uniform) and improved on that, but would have liked to see a few more attempts, maybe LeBron and Rose before going to Jordan, perfect it before making the master...

On a positive note, I wasn't expecting the base to feature actual wood! I thought it would be plastic with a sticker over it (high quality at that), and was a little suprised by the quality of it, very nice EB.
