loving the jersey, loving that red and that headsculpt looking brilliant.
i only hope they will improve their basketball bodies a lot, as kobes body looked aweful.

i'm not sure if mike will approve a figure with such knee joints :D

This looks pretty cool. After seeing Kobe's final pics I lost interest, but may haveta pick this one up.

MJ is the only reason i ever whatched basketball at all.
I remember staying up till 6 in the morning to watch the finals (big time diference here in Amsterdam). For me as a football fan (that's soccer to you yanks ;-)) this is the only basketball icon i must own as a collectible figure.

How can you guys who buy these Enterbay basketballs even tolerate those knee joints. Easily the stupidest thing I've seen on a modern 1/6 figure. I'm not saying don't make it jointed and go the rubber route as that would impede articulation for all of their little jumps and twirls and such. But that joint is like a straight out of the box truetype leg.

Awful and ruins the whole thing, the elbow joints aren't the best I've seen either,

the headsculpts are insanely good. HT are very hit and miss lately. EB seems to be knocking them out of the park one after the other. So I bought Kobe because:

Great sculpt
Iconic player
Great accessories
Excellent packaging
Will look great lined up beside the next figures

The joint issue was a small niggle because we're so used to HT's versions.

In my opinion he's the only one that is worthy, and it's a nice head sculpt too. IMO he's a worthy thing to make.

Kobe and Lebron are just as worthy. Kobe has 5 rings. And LeBron is the 3 time reigning MVP and best player in the world currently.

A LOT OF NBA STARS PAST AND PRESENT are WORTHY. Being given the action figure treatment is not as special as being in the 50 Greatest Players of All Time. And these toy manufacturers don't care who's "worthy" or not. What's important is that they choose the ones that would sell well.:dunno

Well there are lots of "worthy" players as figures I guess, but Jordan is the worthiest of them all, seeing as how he is the greatest basketball player there ever was and arguably one of the top 5 athletes of all time.

I would like a "Showtime" Magic Johnson with the goatee and a Larry Bird. Those would be a great duo to put on a shelf together.

Too bad EB doesn't offer warmups for the figures to wear. Souls handle the exposed joint solution.

Kobe maybe, but not Lebron. Lebron has a lot of maturing to do, he may be a phenomenal player, but his lack of morals/maturity does not make him worthy in my eyes IMO. Personally I'm not a fan, but I respect the **** out of his talent. And as a basketball fan, I can think of 15 players more worthy than him.

:exactly: I had a chance to meet MJ, back when he first played the Raptors at the Skydome. I was in awe, and really didn't say much. I think it was because I was in the presence of a legend. I also missed the photo opp as back in 94" cell phones were seldom. I did score an autographed ticket though, which is still hidden in storage.

Morals?! Lol. Kobe cheated on his wife. Jordan had a gambling problem some have said may have led to his fathers death. What's lebron done?

He switched teams?! In fact even if its the "decision" you are referring to all he's done since then is apologize and admit he would do things differently if he had the chance.

Yes, I'm referring to their professional careers, not their personal life. And I'm sure Bosh and him, would have done the exact same thing if the opportunity were there. Even though Bosh was a "big fish in a small pond" here in Toronto, he really didn't leave much for the organization that basically started his career. As did Lebron, so to me he is not worthy. Someone who is worthy, but very underrated and always seems to be fighting off injury is Chris Paul. Man I wish that guy had a good team to back him up when he was in his prime. I'm not sure if you have ever seen this Wake, but I'm sure you'd be a fan if you enjoy basketball. Enjoy:

Actually the Hornets had some damn good teams for a couple of years there, with Paul, David West, Tyson Chandler, and Peja Stojakovic. They just weren't the best team in the league those years.

What about the days of Vlade Divac, Elden Campbell, Larry "Grandma-ma" Johnson and Mugsie (sp) Bogues? Hornets were stacked when they traded that 17-year old kid named Kobe away.
