Ok, I don't know what is written there, but if you click the 'left' button, you'll find this pic. Have we seen this earlier? Just a photoshop or whatever, I guess...

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Oh! And about what is mentioned under the pic, Google translator says this (gibberish :lol):

Do the statistics, this March, I received around the world to the fans sent me mail about 1132, is all about Batman, clowns, machine police and Bruce Lee, which more than about 779 to ask about our1/4 HD clown, I thank you for our 1/4 the HD series of strong support and interest, I can understand everyone's feelings, so if you reach 200 comments and forward the clown will likely exposure ~

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I asked this in the 1/4 avengers thread, and no one answered. So I'll try here.

I am curious to know how much of a market is out there for 1/4 scale? The majority of 1/6 collectors are complaining about a $200 price point. That would make me think that most if not all of them are not getting 1/4. Plus, will those with a 1/6 collection want to start a new scale?

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

My guess is that the market will be MUCH smaller than the 1/6 market.

For me at least, I don't see myself having more than 4-5 1/4 figures MAX. I have about 20 1/6 figures.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Same here. There are a very few 1/4 scale figures I can see myself buying--Begins Batman, Predator 1 Pred, maybe a Spider-Man, Giant Man eventually (1/4th scale version of his regular human size :D ).

Cost and space issues. I probably have 50 1/6th scale figures, though.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

The "kid" is Bill, the founder of Enterbay, and all that he's doing is building hype for the figure. Everyone is waiting patiently for the Specs/Pics/Pre-Order stuff to go live, so I'd rather have these "strip-teases" that give us an idea of what we are going to get, than nothing at all.

Still better than HT's total silence over the years.

:exactly: :goodpost:

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

For me I'm going to add Joker, BB Bats and maybe Rambo ontop of my T-800 and thats it, purely a money issue though because in some peoples opinions I'm too young for collecting anyway

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Thanks for the input. I think void is spot on when he said the market will be MUCH smaller than the 1/6 market

And I assume that those of you who are getting 1/4 don't honestly feel 1/6 pricing is outrageous?

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

If it's something I want and it presents improvements that couldn't been achieved in 1/6, then i'm buying it.

If EB 1/4 BB Batman looks exactly like HT 1/6 BB Batman, just bigger, then i'm not buying it.

This.

Just to own a figure because its bigger doesn't make much sense. It has to be better to make the purchase justified. EB 1/4 Terminator is a good example. I believe its bigger and better than HT's 1/6 and hence was a hit. :lecture

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Yeah, but I think it needs to be bigger, better and also a really very major character

I sure as hell won't be building customs of Alfred and Dr Crane in 1/4 :lol

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

:lol

Yeah, so as you can see, just by definition of the characters that would warrant 1/4 treatment (perhaps anything that HT makes a DX of is a good proxy), the universe of possible 1:4 poseable figures is already reduced greatly.

Add that to the higher price point and crucially, space issues for the average collector, I just don't see 1/4 growing beyond a niche market size
