i put mine on a truetype right when i got it and i must say, it makes a huge difference

can you post pics of the truetype version... I have two true types and I want to do the same thing..

Great shots, Josh...isn't this figure terrific? I've had mine on my desk at work since I got it. It just came out really well...the outfit, the robe, everything.

Thank ya! Its a very very nice figure. I'm quite happy with it. For as decent as these shots might be the figure as is it appears here is better in person.

Thnx! I try since I do use flash a lot to make sure I use ample lighting around the house to balance it out. The shots I took today of all my stuff came out pretty well.

I believe the only people putting it on a TT are ones using the Clone Obi-Wan head, I don't think anyone's transferring the AOTC head to a TT>

Can I ask an honest newbie question, whats the difference?

the General kenobi head has no sculpted neck for better articulation, and better overall paint apps, however the skin is a little shiny. the head is cast in transparent resin, the same process that Hot toys uses on their heads.

The EPII obi has better painted eyes, and the skin is not shiny, but looks a little "flat" in my opinion. It also has a sculpted neck.

aside from that, it's the same sculpt.
If the paint apps on either one bother you, a simple repaint can fix it.

Good response lerath, but I believe spiderbo's inquiring over the difference between the figure on Buck or Truetype, not the difference in heads, as Rice put the AOTC head on a TT.

I was but thanks for that response as well. I hear about people changing out bodies all the time and just was really wondering why.

that completely sums it up. It's all preference, an d it helps that the newer truetypes smaller wist pegs fit the sideshow hands perfectly.

the hot toy's TrueType body is a much better figure. It has much better articulation, no loose joints, and the body looks much better. Obi's robes and tunic hang much better on the truetype body.

and its preference.
