No offense man, but the guy he got banned was a bit of an ass to begin with. He didn't exactly use nice language, and could be a bit...Aggressive.

And his stuff does look good. He does know how to paint. I absolutely do not like the man, but I do respect his skills. Are they the best? No. But they are still damn good.

But this place doesn't need drama from other boards, Sideshow has enough of it's own. :lol

bcm, I bet you were more a fan of the toys than the cartoon as a kid. Am I wrong?

No you're correct. My parents were never really well off so what few TF's I got meant a lot more to me at the time.

I have fond memories of getting Bluestreak & a few Minibots for Christmas in 1984 and sneaking downstairs one birthday and opening a present early that turned out to be Sandstorm.

The first thing I ever saved up my own money for was Optimus Prime and I was the first kid in my class to get it too!

I definitely watched the first 2 series of the cartoon and the Movie but I'm not sure what happened after that, maybe the UK scheduling of series 3 & 4 was different and I was doing other things when it was on or I just lost intrest.

Fast forward to 2007 and the hype around the new movies got me looking at the brand again and as I initially hated everything associated with the new movies my first TF purchase in over 20 years was Classics Cliffjumper which I later got repainted by someone who has since become a good friend as you can see here,

( And yes, I did put it in a pond to take the picture :lol )

Since then my position on all things Bayformers has changed slightly, I like elements of the movies ( mainly how the robots look ) but they are far from being brilliant stories and the toys are largely awful.

I much prefer G1 influenced lines like Classics/Universe/Henkei/Generations, Alternators, Alternity, Hybrid Style as well as the outright reissues.

I imagine I'll get round to buying the complete G1 cartoon box set eventually but my limited budget means toys always take priority.

As far as i can tell the guy only gave back as good as he got from FR, yet FR always got away with it (despite ALWAYS starting the fights) while the other dude took the wrap for it.

Either way it doesnt justify the lengths FR went to to make that guys life hell online. You have to be one low life scum bag to go to someones auction and email potential bidders to put them off buying their stuff. That is just inexcusable. Mess around and call people names if you like, but dont mess with their living. People need to eat.

Indeed. A bit of back & forth name calling and swearing is one thing but sending threatening e-mails saying ( among other things ) "I will make it my personal mission to cause as much hurt for you as possible" is kinda going too far over something I understand started as a mere disagreement over the types of paint that are best for repainting TF's.

Not exactly the best way to encourage new people into the hobby is it?

Wow thats the best CJ custom i have ever seen! The fact that the paint work could hold up to that filthy pond scum is a true testiment to the artists skills! :monkey5 :rotfl

I still cant beleive you put him in the pond though :google...didnt his feet get full of dirty smelly water?

All CJ required when I removed him from the pond was a bit of a wipe with a paper towel. My other TF's wouldn't stand near him for a few hours but other than that he was fine :D

Talking crap about someone doesn't really belong in this thread, guys.

Only trying to give people a clearer picture of what the man is really like.

If he can treat people on a forum like he has, then he could also do it with customers.

If I were considering paying that kind of money for ANYTHING I'd want to be 110% certain the person getting my cash was trustworthy. I'd hate to read of someone getting screwed over because they had a "creative" disagreement over how a commission turned out.

Yeah, I think the relative expensiveness of TFs is the single most important reason why I'm more a GI Joe nut than a Transformers one--I had more than a small handful of Joes as a kid. Of course, I love both, but for TFs, my nostalgia is most associated with the cartoon, so I'm drawn to toys that look most like they did on the show.

One reason I like the reissues is that it's given me a chance to get TF's I always wanted as a kid like Sideswipe, Tracks & Jazz though the G1 toys I want reissued most ( Jetfire, the Dinobots, Sunstreaker,Shockwave and Wheeljack ) are the ones that the molds are either lost, damaged or there are legal issues over who owns it.

I have been tempted by the KO's but have held off due to concerns about the quality and knowing my luck Takara would announce they've solved all the mold/legal issues and are reissuing them officially about 5 seconds after I clicked the "Buy It Now" button for a KO on ebay.

You gents see this thing yet?

My brother was showing this custom to me last night. I've been trying to get him to join the forum... He's a TF nutter! Not only that but his spelling is super crappy to the point where it's entertaining. :D

Yeah... lets do this. I know what figures to use... but it's connecting them that will be the issue. But, I can't wait!:monkey5

Wow, those do look fine! Being a long-time fan of Jazz, I dig him the most. It seems like the guy who created them was more interested in referencing the original toys over cartoon incarnations, though. I like it, but it seems different from the route of the Classics/Masterpiece lines.

Jazz is my favorite character! I wish there were a MP Jazz. :monkey2

Jazz is a victim of the current policy that VW ( who own Porsche ) have where they won't allow their cars to be associated with anything associated with "war" which is ironic when you consider who was largely responsible for VW being formed ( Hitler ) .

His original BT/Alternators toy was meant to be a Porsche Boxster ( a proto was made ) but like further use of the Beetle for Bumblebee it was rejected by VW so he became a Mazda RX-8 instead.

Jazz did recently get a Universe Legends toy that sorta resembled his G1 toy but the ( lack of ) detailing on those is such that it wouldn't be worth attempting to sue over whereas a Masterpiece level toy would be much more realistic and therefore could potentially be considered an illegal use of a Porsche IP.

Bagels,
Nice haul! do you plan on opening any of them?

:lecture

hell yeah. I open all my Transformers stuff. I don't believe in coffins :lol

Good to hear!

I just sold a rare WST Soundwave on ebay for a bit more than I originally paid for it and once I've got the payment I'll be using it to get Warbot :rock

I was trying to track down a WST Soundwave a few years ago, but he was too high for me then. Now, it looks like he's worth even more. Cool though that figure (and the WST line) is, I can't personally justify the cost for something so small.

If I remember right I got mine for something like $45 just over a year ago and sold it for $90.

WST's are cool but I needed to raise some cash for Warbot which I wanted much more as my main display is of Classics styled TF's so it was an easy decision to make.

The only other WST's I have are the Justitoys Dinorobots which are displayed standing at the feet of MP Grimlock :)

I've got that Grimlock, the three main seekers, Ramjet, Sideswipe, Prowl, Megatron, Optimus, and the KO Devastator (Prime and Devastator are included in a picture I posted here). Would like to get Bumblebee, Jazz, and Soundwave one of these days, though.

I think Devastator is my favorite. Amazing how each little Constructicon transforms just like the originals. Amazing how any of those Transformers can actually transform!
