Yes it does have it, not as bad as the Hasbro one, but it is there.
I am excited about Protector. I know a lot of people seem to not dig the head, but I think it is pretty rad. I do wish they made him an all new gun though.

I don't see what's wrong with the head, it's much better than the pinhead Hasbro sculpted IMO.
The gun for me is the real issue as it should have been an all new one or failing that the thickness of the barrel should have should have been a better match with the Hasbro hairdryer it attaches to.
I was reading an early report on the iGear mini MP Prime at TFW and the bad news for my wallet is that the QC is decent. Gonna be nice having that on display with Ultra Magnus with the City Commander armor, Hot Rod with the Protector armor and maybe MP Grimlock as well.

Oh man....never the same again.
One of the first things I did with my MP Starscream was to remove the battle damage and the gray from the nose-cone to make him more toy-accurate.

That's what I used. Noticing that Fansproject Hot Rod, it is very cool. I can't stand the character, but dig what they have done there.
The alternate shoulder transformation is a nice touch. Looks like alternators hotrod.

Just awesome.... My brother got the Fans Project Springer the other day. Very, very nice figure. Has a ton of articulation. I love the holsters on his hips too.

No. He was quite the opposite, IMO
In fairness though, anyone would have been lame trying to follow Prime as leader, with the possible exception of Grimlock. And of course, Hot Rod was John Shaft compared to weak-ass Ultra Magnus.

I never understood the obsession with grimlock. The guy was an idiot, and the whole appeal of robots that turn into cool cars and jets was...well the fact that they turned into cool cars and jets!
Not stupid metal dinosaurs. What kind of disguise is that? Thats why i never understood the love for the beast-tf series either.
I always loved Hotrod, but im not paying for these overpriced add-on kits. They are far too expensive for what they are. Nice but not value for money.
Of course, this is all just opinion.
You can divide people up into two fundamental categories--those who understand the awesomeness of Grimlock, and those who don't.
