It's the same stance Nova and another newb who I'm not allowed to mention anymore, take when people post their dislike for ASM. Most of the time CP's a cool cat, but here, for some reason, he's being obstinate. :lol

Haha funny since I could care less if you hate asm or not.

:lol

I'm just lost on what this argument is. Gore makes me laugh. I don't know what to say. I get giddy when I see some really well made practical effects. Despite my love love for filmmaking, I also have a deep seeded soft spot for make up and gore effects.

Although, it's all context. If the film is a dead set realistic war film like Saving Private Ryan, it's going to affect me differently. If its a horror film, i'm more often going to laugh at it. Not in a nasty way, but in a "YES! That looks great!" kind of way.

This debate isn't subjective at all, and I'm sure many people feel the same way. You can't even try and tell me that the gore in this remake is meant to be "funny." It looks super realistic, and the characters reactions seem to be completely serious. If you laugh at things like the girl cutting her tongue in half, you're a freak. :lol

The person cutting their tongue in half isn't funny.

But the effect looks pretty damn good. What made me laugh in this trailer, was the Raimi esq vomit scene, and the arm cutting. But that was more due to the nod to the original then anything. I'm just hoping they push the gore top that level of ridiculousness so it becomes comical.

This is funny.

SPOILERS fOR DJANGO.

Oh trust me, he was doing the same exact thing over in the Prometheus spoilers thread. [General note, not directed at nam: I willl not be rehashing my opinion of Prometheus in this thread, so dont even start.]

Some threads, dissenting opinions are just not allowed, no matter how good the reasoning behind them or how politely stated. Opinions become "facts" and dogpiling of dissenters, no matter how polite, is the norm.

[Re ASM2, a bigger train wreck of a film will be hard to imagine. It might even overtake the much-reviled S-M3. Some people just dont want to hear it tho.]

But, my expectations for ED1 remake are not too terribly high, so hopefully if I dont like it it will be less of a disappointment. It does not have to be High Canon or even an important film, I just want it to be fun.

Because you were being so condescending, that I couldn't not say anything.

Seriously, you were talking down to everyone. So yeah. I was going to argue with you.

I said spoilers. Did you not read when I said "SPOILERS FOR DJANGO" ?

I know they are not in stores now but the real clothing makes them look kinda funny.

Someone I was talking too about these brought up a good point, those were made by a computer, not by hand. They look too close to the actors.

I've seen some Mego's in person, and they are really interesting little toys. But I haven't seen anyone replicate them very well at all. Outside of maybe one or two companies.

the good thing is that they might release an uncut version, so we might get to see that at least. (I hope)

There IS that. Always assuming I think enough of it to buy a Blueray of it.

Remember how House of 1000 Corpses did not have an uncut version..... *evil glare in Rob Zombie's general direction...*
