I wanted to put Brunt on my list too but didn’t think two Jeffery Combs characters!

I have a special spot in my heart for Admiral Ross. I met him at Star Trek Las Vegas back in 2012, and he was just the nicest guy. Spent like 30 minutes just chit-chatting with me about being on the show.

I feel like, if Nog had a whole freaking episode devoted to pretty much just him, that makes him a main cast member.
Really, the only reason he never was a main character is due to how the actors are paid, anyway. Being in the main credits gets you a much, much bigger payday.

It seems crazy to think of Garak and Nog as not being part of the main characters.

That makes the first two spots on my list pretty obvious. DS9 is tougher than most to narrow down - SO many good characters!

Much like with VOY, I think Nanjin is only considering those who regularly appeared in the cast photos as the "main cast". And I'm kinda surprised to see that Jake was always in there. I always assumed he was more of a supporting character.

A quick check of memory alpha shows that Jake appeared in 71 episodes, Nog in 45 and Garak in only 33. One of my favourite Trek villains, Dukat was in just 35 episodes. Funny how the memory plays tricks.

No disrespect to Jake, but for me, Garak and Nog definitely overshadow him, despite Jake appearing twice as often - I'd definitely get both of their figures ahead of Jake, if we had to choose. That being said, the relationship between Sisko and Jake is still one of the best parent/child depictions I've seen in any show, so he's still a must.

There’s too many for that sixth slot. But my interest in spending $200 on any of them also radically drops after that top 5.

I also really like the suggestion of the Intendant, but would assume she gets released under the Mirror Universe banner and not DS9. Nothing about the Mirror Spock and Sulu release suggests the line is just for TOS. I assume it is for key Mirror characters from all Trek.

What I really want is a length of Quark’s bar with some stools, Morn. Maybe Leeta serving a dabo table, and a bunch of aliens and starfleet mingling and drinking. One of the key visual Trek settings that isn’t a bridge/engineering/med bay.

DS9 is hands down my favorite Trek and choosing just six supporting characters is near impossible - the cast is such a part of what makes it so good. That said, my top six would be:

Newbie here, but six DS9 characters is the perfect place for me to start.

A Jem'Hadar. (My fave is Third Talak'Talan from The Jem'Hadar, but I'd be happy with any.)

Rom and Nog as a two-pack.

But I'd also absolutely love the Female Changeling (diseased version, I always thought she looked awesome in her final stage), a Breen, Tosk, Kai Winn, and Kang, Kor, and Koloth. And Leeta and Kasidy. Prophets help me, I want them all!
