Because of your size you are changing the game.

I will be getting my second figure from you in sixth months soon.

That's amazing đź‘Ź
Anything bigger is just asking for trouble from my perspective. Must solve Headaches will start showing up. I rather spend the time to do more Trek figures.

The best outcome, Everyone sooner or later will be happy one way or another.

As of today, I still don't think for me having the license was a natural course of reality (natural course was for me to work for someone). Some luck had influenced this whole thing. Cherish it. It won't come again. We all know this is a fact.

I belong to 1st generation Trek. TOS will have their own playing field.

Meantime, show you a V1 Sisko in FC uniform. This is NOT EXO-6 Sisko. We are making a bad-ass Sisko. War time Sisko is a lot cooler than this one. (Neck too long and didn't bother to do anything with him)View attachment 538038

Trek are all uniforms. Figures have to be uniquely enough to represent some kind of anchor within Trekverse timeline or history.

Someday, I am going do a battle shotout scene with some Wars figures.

OK I started watching Discovery again.

I wouldnt say it's growing on me, but I do like Pike.

Will he be getting made in the gold uniform, or will we be waiting until you make SNW figures?

Anson Mount as Captain Pike is great. He’s the one aspect of Discovery I do like, and I really hope that Strange New Worlds will be a good show.
That appears to be the popular opinion regarding this show and that character, an expensive swing and a miss but for Pike.

I was wondering, will characters of color have bodies that closely match the heads and hands, or is the body going to be the same fo every figure? I just notice the mismatch of Sisko’s hands and wrists in this shot.

If that was the show wouldn't keep getting renewed.
My understanding is for a streaming service they actually don’t have to share the numbers. So I don’t know all the facts, and as I posted, it’s what I’ve gathered from reading this and that regarding Disco; e.g. a lot of fan discontent. It may be getting renewed but I’m not sure anyone considers it an unqualified success. Your mileage may vary, I’m really not invested in the show. 🖖🏻

Nanjin has said he would be doing SNW Pike, but not Discovery Pike. He posted a Discovery Pike several pages back that looked really good, though.

Companies don't have a tendency to throw away money on a show that has no audience like a lot of people on social media would have you believe. Just a few weeks ago all the You Tube "insiders" were saying Kurtzman was canned and Discovery canceled. Yet Kurtzman just got a multi year deal and Discovery and Picard already renewed for another season. Don't believe everything you see online, especially in "fan" communities.

Not just “fan” sites I’ve read things, but again, I don’t have skin in the game either way. Glad you have new Trek you enjoy.

Amber Heard haters are already declaring that Aquaman 2 is (not will be) a flop.
That seems short sighted.

Regarding Disco, again from what I've read here-and-there, Disco has only "flopped" in execution, for some not all. (y) No one really knows how the "ratings" are doing as streaming services don't report exact figures. As fans, I can't imagine everyone doesn't want new Trek they love. But I also see with all other "fandom" type leisure activities a group that will defend everything put out, which I admire in a way.

Maybe if people just accept the entertainment on face value and realize "canon" (which even Nimoy spoke out against at least once) personal expectations, or what-have-you doesn't matter. Was it fun to watch? Great! It's just escapist story telling. I watched a fantasy/kung-fu move last night that I could have crtically taken apart, but it was fun so why bother? Nothing to get worked up about.

Getting back to the point of the thread, I must agree with everyone else here in that EXO-6 is the most exciting group to watch in all 1/6 figures at the moment.

I don't think you have to be a diehard Trekkie to enjoy the shows. To some, newer shows may not be 'their' Trek, but they still could appeal to others. There's no accounting for taste. Some people actually like Kardashians more than Cardassians!

I like Lower Decks. I like what I've seen of Strange New Worlds and Prodigy. I liked Picard, for the most part (except the end of Picard's arc, which I won't spoil, but was really lazy writing). I like the trailer for Picard season 2.

I dislike Discovery. A LOT. I won't say I hate it, because it does have some redeeming qualities - Saru is a great character. I enjoy Tilly , N'han and Jet Reno. I liked the set up of Season 1 with the war and seeing it from both sides; of course, they dropped that angle by like the third episode. I liked the beginning of Season 2 with the mystery of the Red Angel and what it's doing slowly being revealed (until it's just another Michael Burnham is the god of the universe resolution). I like some of the more Trek-like aspects of Season 3 (the Trill angle with a lost love, the way they did the Guardian of Forever). But overall, it's a dud for SO many reasons.

Retconning Spock's sister - didn't they learn from Sybok? And that really only mattered at the beginning of the series, when her logic caused her to make bad decisions and start the war. They pretty much dropped it by season two. The mirror universe has been played out to death. Like what they did with Lorca, don't like that it took like five episodes in the mirror universe to wrap up.

Above all, though, I hate the "this is the ONLY person who could possibly save the galaxy" plot point, and they've gone to the well with it as the major plot point in EVERY. SINGLE. SEASON.

1. Burnham triggers the war. Discovery/Burnham is the only one who could stop the war. Burnham is the only one to "fix" the mirror universe since she's the emperor's "daughter."
2. The whole thing revolves around Burnham being the "only one" to stop the red angel because the angel is her mom. Burnham is the "only one" who can save them and pose as the angel at the end.
3. At least it's not Burnham this time - Saru is the "only one" who can save the child and stop the screaming and fix the dilithium shortage just because he's from his species - which seems like it's damn important all of a sudden considering we've never seen them before.

But as far as viewership goes - I still watch it. Because it's Star Trek. Because I've seen every episode. Because I have a feeling if I miss something in it at some point it'll come back to bite me later when I'm watching something else. So it could very well be that it's viewership is high despite how we feel, if anyone else feels that same way.

Well Burnham is the lead character, so I've never had a huge problem with her playing a key role in the saving of the universe each season. And Sonequa makes her such a vulnerable and damaged character that I think it kinda balances out all the heroic stuff she does (and I like that the show even acknowledges that she's got a bit of a savior complex). Plus it was always clear that we weren't watching the journey of some random crewmember all this time, but someone destined to become a Captain.

The bigger issue for me is just with these enormous, universe-destroying threats they come up with each season that requires someone like Burnham to save it. That's the part that's getting a bit old and tired I think.

Fair enough - the stakes are excessive week in, week out, and therefore need excessives to combat that. That's sloppy storytelling. But it's like she's Jesus. Sisko, sure. He pretty much literally WAS Jesus, at least as far as Bajor was concerned. Picard? The only time I can think of that he personally HAD to be there is in First Contact, and that was because he was previously Locutus (which could've happened to someone else). I can't think of a single time offhand that Kirk HAD to be the savior. Janeway? Likewise. But everything literally centers around her. It's not that she plays a key role in saving the universe. All our heroes do that. It's that it HAS to be her and no one else could.
