The sculpt is there and it looks like Shatner, but there’s something ever so slightly off with it. I can’t put my finger on it.

For what we see I wouldn't slate it yet. The lighting isn't the best.

I don't understand Nanjin saying he's going on a show to show off upcoming prototypes, we get a couple of screenshots from the video which isn't being shown for a week?

Sorry but this thread has been around a while and we are huge supporters of the company. We deserve more than scribbled out teasers since a few good pics would guarantee we will purchase the product.

It’s a dead on shot up close though. Although I guess maybe that isn’t always the best way to view sculpts.

I don’t think it’s bad looking. Just that something feels slightly off, but that’s happened with other EXO-6 sculpts (namely Picard) that came out better in the final version.

I’m getting it either way as I’m a big fan of TMP.

When it comes to colours, screen accuracy vs costume accurate can be a bit of a hot topic within costuming circles so I wouldn’t be surprised seeing it overspill into 1/6 - I’m sure we have seen it before in other threads, most recently discussing the various “The Batman” figures.

there’s always going to be those 2 points of view and there’s no way to completely please both without causing financial and logistical headaches for yourself so at the end of the day your going with what you would want as a fan and collector. After all it’s a 1/6 museum as you have said numerous times.

Back on track, funny how I said my 1/6 movie Kirk would be TWOK version - then one look at this prototype and I’m wanting it as my sole representation of TMP.

When I was younger there was a Kirk figure in what I remember to be this scale (back then as a kid it was “Action Man” size) wearing this uniform displayed in a shop window, unfortunately he was not for sale no matter how many times I asked.

Great work Nanjin I can’t wait for the full reveals!
There's a guy who knows exactly how our figures could relate to each of our past when we had OUR Trek on our picture tubes. A time that has been long gone.

These Trek figures WILL bring back a segment of our past.

More temptations to screw up your plan for 1/6 collections.

“I doubt TOS era fans who forgo our TOS era figures can have no bitter after taste.”

My job here is to create chaos and regrets. I had 20 years of success behind this.

Stay tune for more regrets potentials.

What? The one whose lousy decision making stranded her crew on the other side of the galaxy? And who gets enthusiastic about boring topics?
Oh you mean the figure not the series character. Possible I guess, very odd, but possible.
From my observation, Janeway had a very huge amount of single parents fans from that era. 30-35 Male in particular. Ladies fans are obvious a lot more especially young single moms.

Janeway had a very strong characteristics of a Single Mom.

This is in my opinion, this is the base of Janeway fan base. I handicapped Sports for 20 years. This is what I would conclude from my observation.
You guys are causal observers. Your conclusion won't affect you. My conclusion will affect us. Janeway I underestimated by 70%. (Sold out thousand in 20 minutes. When we didnt.even market ourselves. TOS took 3-4 months). I was that far off from my estimates.

I have about 600-700 requests for another Janway figure since her release.

The first Kirk from Exo 6 is from the worst film in the franchise.

Odd decision, especially with this year being Wrath of Khan's anniversary.
We'll get a TWOK Kirk this year I have no doubt to coincide with the 40th anniversary. I would imagine the TMP reveals have been planned to possibly ride with the released of the 4k clean up & edit of TMP, as it brings it back into the public attention for a time and the next big anniversary for TMP is 2029. A fair way off.
In truth I've never been a fan of the TMP uniforms collectively, but the Admiral uniform is quite striking. I do like the Vulcan robes too

The problem is, I am focusing in kidnapping the Trek franchise and not making Sales. Our figures will sell out each time within 6 weeks.

What I am doing in this month is what HT did with Marvel's 15 or 18 years ago. I am duplicating Mr Howard Chan's strategy. Practically copying 90% of his strategies and tactics.

Except one variable, Sales.

Sales are the last thing I would worry, because supplies are under KNOWN demand due to production limitation. EXO-6 operates the smallest and most inferior production capacity among 1/6 production. We are limited by size, and I WILL NOT expand (expansion will kill 1/6 Trek faster)

I mentioned a lot of things here before public annoucements because I know friends from this threads are the groups of fans who would have the highest regret rates. I know 1/6 consumer buying patterns (decision process).

I am giving you a head start in your plan only because my strategy is to make people regrets (a positive approach to manufacturing the best figures to create an instrument of regrets)

Who deserves more info? Those who don't know about 1/6 Trek. 1/6 collectors already know us. Don't need advertisements. People here knows where, when, how to get our figures already.

TMP was a gap filler. We have been producing TMP Kirk and Spork since Picard presale. This is why we have a fixed quantity.

The pricing will shock every in 1/6 existence.

No such pricing in today's 1/6 market.
No such speed of delivery in today's 1/6 market.
No such merchandise in Trek collection, before, now, or even the future.

1/6 Trek collectors should understand. I am shooting to capture a large amount of Non 1/6 collectors with these figures just like what Mr Chan did before.

I don't usually explicitly tell people what I would do. I would only tell my expected results. There will be regrets. Please know this and remember this. I hope regrets only exist in the public market.

I have been implying and telling everyone here for the past 1.5 years.

1/6 Trek can never be a easy collectibles because of its inherented genetic deficiencies. It can never have the avenage like other licenses. Not before, not now, and not in the near future.

Friends here have the most 1st hand info which the public has no idea.

Just remember what I have said.

TNG TNG TNG TNG TNG TNG Where is the finest crew in the fleet?

It is good that some friends don't like TMP Kirk. We need more dislike to offset the “likes.”
Maybe it's an age thing. I'm not a huge TMP fan, but I was around when it opened, albeit just a little kid, so those uniforms (while not my cup o' tea as an adult) hold an odd, nostalgic place for me. I remember having some of the action figures made at the time, I'm sure I just saw space toys at the store and my dad (a Trek fan) bought them for me to shut me up. So when I see these EXO-6 figures I get a strange sense of satisfaction and want to see more.

Plus the quality is stellar, so that helps. ;) 🖖

Others' mileage may vary, but I love everything you're doing and how you're doing it. It's like an ongoing 1/6 scale viral campaign. It's kept me involved and checking in, and it's fun.

You might be insane.

Bravo. 🖖

This is what the Trek franchise want, Trek parents introduce their children to Trek just like Disney. A brainwashing strategy that Vegas have been using since the 60s. That's we positioned Vegas as a family fun city instead of gambling city. The children will accept gambling as Family Fun. The experience will be a memory imprints just like what you said about uniforms and linked to YOUR dad.

EXO-6 product strategy is to create an enivoenment to enjoy before, during, and post purchases.

I have mentioned before, I am using my Romancing Marketing Strategy that I formulated for my Marketing final project in college years.

When EXO-6 customers hates and likes us at the same time, then the Romancing Strategy worked.

Is going be a real joy ride from here on out. Friends will know who were their true Trek love.

Hardly the worst film in the franchise.
It may be the most cerebral film,
the most Gene Roddenberry-esque,
the most not in a frantic rush,
the most polished,
the most expensive for its time,
the most over-criticized,
but it's hardly the worst film.
Star Trek V gets that honor.
-- Just another opinion

Are the filler characters going to be primarily uniform variants of main characters or secondary/alien/guest characters or a mixture of the two?. Is it just the captain actors that have likeness approval and everyone else is approved only by CBS/Paramount?
