Ah - a classic case of "opinions differ" or "YMMV".

I'm sincerely pleased that so many of you are looking forward to these - because (let's be honest) - those likenesses are truly amazing!!!! - but I couldn't have been more disappointed with the movie when it came out (thank goodness "Wrath of Khan" rescued the franchise!)

Easy pass for me - but roll on anything from TOS or ANY of the other TOS movies.

I'm waiting out for the "Wrath of Khan" figures. As "The Motion Picture" film I wasn't feeling.

I think the 8th might be the date. That’s Star Trek Day and I believe that’s a date Nanjin has mentioned previously.

Spock still doesn't look quite as old as he should for TMP, but it's spot on to Nimoy so I can live with it. And it's possible I might be able to age him up a bit more with paint.

The McCoy sculpt is definitely my favorite though. Never thought I'd be so excited for a bearded TMP McCoy.

Yep, I definitely appreciate the vibe more now I'm older. The movie is still a struggle to get through but I love the costumes and concepts.

I would love getting all three TMP figures if I can. I've been a fan of that movie since seeing it in theaters in 1979 as a fifth-grader. I have even more reverence for it as a middle-ager. TMP has aged like a fine wine (in spite of the 70s pajama uniforms).
