Would love a complete DS9 lineup.

That's a tall order. DS9 had the biggest cast of all the shows. You could just stick to the main 7, but the recurring characters had more story to them then some main cast members in other Trek shows. Heck, some of those recurring cast are more well known then some main cast in other Trek shows.

I want Odo and Quark most of all, but I'd gladly take a Garrak, Martok, Nog, Rom, and Leeta too.

Even if you took 5 Star Trek series, and gave each one a single year of dedication... Nanjin says you'll get 12 figures... so could you get what you want in 12 figures from TOS? TNG?

How about if there is only 6 per year... which six would you want? Which would you need?

Let's take TOS:
Kirk
Spock
McCoy
Scott
Chekov
Uhura
Sulu
...leaving 5 villains, oddballs and extras.
Khan
Mudd
Gorn
Klingon
Balok (laughing sculpt please)

If only 6... you see the problem.

I hope that a figure a month doesn’t actually become a reality. At that point I’ll really have to pick and choose. Four or five a year I could probably make work.

4-5 a year would make it difficult to complete a full crew from any series or movie. Unless they are made over the course of 5 years. But then will 2026 Scott fit in with 2021 Kirk?

Odo and Quark are my favorites too.

For me the must have recurring DS9 characters would be Dukat, Weyoun, and Martok. But I'm guessing those figures would be much more challenging to produce than the main cast in their simple uniforms.

In fact all the Trek aliens and villains tend to have much more complicated designs and outfits, so not sure how many of those we might actually see during this 5 year run.

I’m curious how many full crew sets we’re really going to get. The first set is three figures from First Contact. So that leaves out a lot of characters from that movie. I wonder if all the films will be handled that way. On paper twelve figures sounds great, but would mean I would probably have to collect only Star Trek and not much else.

On paper exactly. We shall see if 12 comes to pass. We're in month 4 and so far only 2 figures have been revealed in this Year One, so I think 6 per year is a much more logical probability, Captain.

Yes!!! Great news for me. I mean getting TWOK being out in less than 5 years part.
Definitely the original thought out twok release will NOT use the adjective, few, to describe its release time frame when year is the unit measurement.

You will be forced to choose. I will just move on to the next.

It shouldn't be difficult decisions for most of you.

But let's be frank because I see collectors as friends.

My production quality is aiming to make people regret from not buying. There is a negative thought in here but benefits everyone except those who later regret.

I will be the happiest guy, and this is what 1/6 Trek to me. Make me happy in all phases. This is also the reason I will delicate authorities to others while I focus in making people regret.

I don't know about some of you. But the rest should be happy because of the above statement means i will focus majority of my attention on each figures' qualities, attractiveness, and collectibilities.

Just don't look at other series after you know you might regret.

I like to win.

I am not rolling a dice here (wishing or hoping). We will see.

BTW, use FC Data delivery date as a start date. A challenge like this deserves a few extra inches head start.

I am also challenging some record keepers positions in the production sector. Is a personal ego smoothing challenge.

See, all these attributions combined to only one result:

1/6 Trek will be as good and as deep as it can be.

I hope these Trek figures will be in the Who's Who in the history of action figures and of course Trekverse.

The 21st Century Iconic Merchandise of Star Trek.

Absolutely. Year One is a long time to finish so anything can happen.

I absolutely hope your 12 per year happens. I'm routing for it. I'm just proposing being conservative as to moderate expectations.

6 or 12, or anything inbetween, is a win-win for all Trek fans.

We’ll see how things shake out. I have to be honest- I’m not necessarily a fan of being forced to choose and if it sells out and hits scalper prices that’s just too bad for me. That assumes that all of us will be in the same position to buy figures that we may want, but may be forced for a multitude of reasons to skip out on.

Isn't that the case with the entire hobby though?
But with the other companies it’s not so rapid fire where there’s a new figure I want monthly. I generally am not buying a Hot Toys figure every single month. Also that assumes that I’m strictly buying EXO-6 Star Trek releases.
