Well damn that would suck.Latest is that the Cardassians (Garak, Dukat) may be too expensive to make based on DS9 demand, so keep fingers crossed he can find a way over that hurdle... or we'll miss two very important characters in that franchise

Aside from a couple Mirror Universe episodes, Garak doesn't wear a bulky armored and scaled uniform like Dukat. He'll surely be less costly.Losing Dukat (And especially Garak) would be hard. I'd hope they could maybe price it at Saavik or Kruge levels and limit the run.
I would be surprised if Kruge is that much more of a big seller than Garak, but that might be my own prejudices showing.
I can let go of Dukat, but I'd have a hard time feeling like the crew is complete without Garak.

I would for sure. He's a huge part of the show and a great character besides!Idunno it doesn't look too hopeful looking at Nanjin's responses. Looks more hopefuly but still not 100% even for Garak.
Nanjin mentioned 6 of the figures have failed if I understand this right. Meaning 6 lost money. Sounds like Seven lost quite a bit and was just one of them.
There's what... like 27 shipped figures, and 2 shipped other versions of figures (a lot more figures shipped than I realised) and a shipped "Prop" of the E chair. So that's about 20%ish of the figures lose money so far.
I want more deets. I'm super I'm getting this Super wrong. And it doesn't even speak to how big of hits those are. Like did Seven kill the profit on .5 other figures or 10 of 'em?
It's a facinating world I have no eyes in and all I can do is make stupid uneducated guesses.
I'd buy a Dukat even if he was $300 but how many DS9ers would?
That's probably true but if we're all being honest, Dukat is a much more interesting character than Bashir. Bashir may well end up as the lowest selling DS9 figure overall when the dust settles at the end of the line, he's a perfectly good character and an important part of the show but he's definitely the most milquetoast of the main cast, with many supporting characters eclipsing him as well. I think a good Dukat figure - even a simple one with minimal accessories - could outsell Bashir, for people just buying favorite characters alone (to say nothing of completionists, who will obviously buy him). I mean, he's one of Trek's best and most complex villains... of all time. I think he'd do just fine vis-a-vis other non-TOS and non-TNG characters.I suspect Bashir has not had big presales, which may be a red flag for "lesser" characters like Dukat.
Agreed. But the problem is he still needs characters like Bashir to sell well in order to help fund the characters that come after. And I imagine he can only take so many hits from poor releases before the entire project is jeopardized. That's probably true but if we're all being honest, Dukat is a much more interesting character than Bashir. I'll say it again, Odo is a fantastic figure. He turned out great.
That's the thing I love the most about these Trek figures. When you see them boxed up in your hands, it feels surreal to see them in this quality and scale.
And no photos compare to in hand. They really are impressive.
I’d like to see Nero, Khan and Krall. For some reason Voldemort has no interest in the first two Kelvin movies.
