Her former partner was first on the scene to treat the mother of 8 year old victim Martin Richard. American citizens and media aren't bound by the rules of the American jury system, we are free to pontificate, judge, theorize, pardon and condemn publicly as is our right.(Unless they are actively participating in the actual jury-trial)
All the while medical professionals are working to make sure he gets his day in court.

Criminals aren't always the smartest. Plus, maybe they didn't hide their faces because they didn't figure in the long run they'd be alive. I think at least the oldest boy didn't. Like you could walk around the Boston Marathon with ski masks on anyway.
