i want to play this game but i'm still playing Dead Space alot and then Gears next week so this would just sit there and collect dust for a few months so I'll wait. plus i received Rainbow Six Vegas 2 from Gamefly that I still haven't started.

I need to finish Dead Space and Brother In Arms. :lol Plus I've been mixing in a little Fable 2.

Gamespot gave it a 9.0 and here is what they have to say about the PS3/360 versions:

"It's a shame, in light of these impressive design elements, that the PlayStation 3 version is shockingly inferior to the others from a technical perspective. Although the Xbox 360 and PC versions display the occasional visual oddity and bland texture, these nitpicks are easy to overlook. Sadly, the jagged edges, washed-out lighting, and slightly diminished draw distance of the PS3 release aren't so easy to dismiss. We also experienced a number of visual bugs on the PS3. Character faces disappeared several times, leaving only eyeballs and hair; limbs on robots went missing; some character models had an odd outline around them as if they were cel-shaded; and the day-to-night transition may cause odd streaks on the screen as you move the camera around. This version doesn't even offer trophies, whereas the Xbox 360 and PC versions offer Xbox Live/Windows Live achievements."

Maybe Sony should actually adapt the same PC architecuture that the 360 uses when it comes to making their games....PS3 owners pay the price for Sony's stubborness...

You mean the hardware inside the PS3? Well, I'd rather have the Cell Engine be a bit hard to program for now and have it produce better stuff down the line than to have the same console as the 360. The PS3 WILL pull ahead of the 360 in terms of visual quality, it's just a matter of time and developer familiarity.

This isn't Sony's fault, it's the developers' for not putting out a good port. I mean, would you blame a toaster for burning your toast if you didn't know how to set the timer?

but the developers have to be the ones to want to go through the trouble of working with the ps3 so it will probably be only sony's own studio that pushes their graphics. by that time the xbox 720 will be here.

not sony hating at all, i have a ps3, but sony guessed wrong that they had the power to basically force the companies to use their tough to program for hardware.

It isn't anyones fault but the consumers. As long as third party titles continue to do better in terms of sales on the 360 then what incentive do they have to make games using the PS3 platform? They don't. That is why games are developed for the 360 first and then ported over. Hence some crappy transitions. Personally that's why I buy all the systems. Can't go wrong if you have them all. Nor can you be fanboy. I honestly never understood someone that considers themselves to be a hardcore gamer if they don't own all of the systems. :dunno

Just picked mine up - with trade-ins only cost me $6! :woo :woo

I'm home sick so I get to play all day. :D

I just read the IGN review. Fable 2 is now on the back burner until later maybe even 09. I can't play 3 games at once and this sounds a lot better.
