That strategy could backfire on Disney/Marvel though.

Marvel obviously wants the license back.

Whether the comic is rolling or not, Fox still pays it's licensing fee for it up front and at any time Marvel can start rolling issues and say, "omg return of the FF! Buy these issues"

Optimistic? For this movie? Best thing to do is just give up now and let it be a pleasant surprise if it's not the worst flick of the year.

I'd almost expect crap like that with the string of dumb revelations we've heard of so far, except that they're going to handle their powers as if they're handicapped. So, no magic rings.

Again. No more proof needed than Marvel canceling everything Fantastic Four related. The comic, the toys, they want nothing to do with this movie.

Did they freak out like that over Amazing Spiderman 2 which everyone here loves to hate? How about X-Men and their retarded looking outfits? Nope. Just this **** show. They don't even want to make money off of it.

Disney. Doesn't want money. end discussion/close thread

But DOFP, was critically and commercially a success and Marvel just finished killing off Wolverine, and after that awesome Deadpool test footage which is pretty much the reason Deadpool got green lit, Marvel decides to kill off Deadpool, yet the X-Men are playing a major role in Marvels new big event, I don't think any success or failures from Fox's films have any real effect on the comics.

Also the F4 comics were selling like ****, Even when Fox and Sony produces crappy films from their Marvel license X-Men and Spider-Man remain top sellers.

Or it could be that they have seen the script and made the greatest call of any studio ever to completely disassociate themselves with a steaming turd of unprecedented proportions. (I'm thinking this will make Green Lantern look whimsical)

I have five words for you: You haven't seen the movie.

What baffles me is how you bash something you have little to no knowledge of other than the cast and crew. You seem to hold Disney in high regards but unless you work for them its pointless to demonstrate allegiance to them when in fact you can enjoy Marvel adaptations from all the studios. If this FF movie is good Disney won't stop making Marvel movies. There is no need to subscribe to only one film studio when they're all capable of delivering great Marvel movies.

I suggest you watch the movie and then decide, if its bad - or good.

Believe it or not, I think Deckard loves the Spider-Man reboots more than the FoX-Men and MCU films, but I know he seems to especially have deep hate for whatever Fox makes.

If its not some misplaced sense of allegiance towards Disney then its just absurd. To hate a movie without even a trailer out is just crazy.

More than X-Men, not more than Iron Man. My problem is with the way X-Men are handled. First Class was great. I liked the idea of setting up a young and fresh team with no Wolverine. I didn't want Singer and his vision/direction/exploitation back and considering we're getting another Mystique and Magneto love story featuring Wolverine in Apocalypse I'd say I was completely correct.

No allegiance to Disney. But they love their money and don't want any from this **** heap. And I don't need a trailer to know this isn't headed in the right direction. We have enough official info to know. The *******ization of villains has to stop. There hasn't been a solid comic book villain in the last dozen movies across all studios. Rejecting the source material and telling your actors to avoid it. Not to mention 2 awful previous FF movies from the same studio.

It isn't at all crazy to hate this kinda bs when we know damn well you can make the source material, not just work, but come out of nowhere and dominate like Guardians did. By comparison, Guardians is more obscure and unknown(yet similar sci-fi and team premise), embraced the source, and owned it.

Also, "found footage" movies suck most of the time.

I’m assuming you haven’t seen DOFP, Fassneto was easily one of the greatest villains in a Marvel film, and the future Sentinels were scary as hell.

I don’t know how much I would trust those Mystique reports, I think she will have a big role but everyone else will get their time to shine too. Even though Wolverine was in front of every poster, Professor X was the central character of the movie.

First Class was great but Singer has made the 2 best X-Men films to date.

Word. I mean if every single bit of a news about an upcoming movie is stupid or idiotic then anticipating a stupid or idiotic film is just absurd. Better wait for the trailer to see how awesome computer hacker RagmanD00M might be.

How much official news has been released?

Everyone seems to hate the cast, Fox going the Ultimate route, and the leaked behind the scenes Doom costume. The only real little snippet of info we have on the film is a small piece of Doom’s origin.

I've seen it and I disagree. I love what Fass is doing but he's presented as far too sympathetic and the Sentinels are henchman drones. (if you're hanging out with and helping the good guys all the time, there's something wrong)

Bane got neutered, Mandarin was a **** sucking drug addict, Baby Goblin was ruined, etc. All the studios are doing it.

Ultron looks fantastic though.

I didn’t know we were talking DC also, yea I would have to disagree with you on Bane, while you might not like him, he seemed to resonate with the majority of movie goers, Bane impressions still continue two years later, and this past halloween I saw more people dressed up as Bane than Joker.

Loki was a great villain in the first Thor as well and the Winter Soldier was pretty cool too.
FC made Fassneto a sympathetic character, DOFP showed us how evil he’s become, I don’t remember many scenes showing him in a decent light to be honest.

Really?

Oh dude......... :lol
Yes, really, dude. It's different from the comics, which are already as silly and ridiculous as can be. That makes people whiny. Simple as that.

Until the movie is released we're going to continue on with pages and pages of the typical "this is crap" posts...based on nothing but some race changes and an incomplete description of Doom.

People commenting on what they know...OMG what ghastly events. Thanks for joining the board, Capt. Obvious.

All comics are silly or a stretch in some way or another though - does that mean all the other Marvel success stories with crazy **** going on, got it wrong then? Should they have re-imagined things to suit a more believable & Gen-Y bother scenario? :lol

I get your point about excessive negativity, but it's always going to be like that in any forum depending on the topic & related news.
