This is going to be a completely ****** Fantastic Four movie. Nothing about this film says Fantastic Four except the powers. Hell even the title is Fant4stic. BUT it might be a good superhero movie or a good movie in general.

Honestly making a gritty, FF movie is like making a Barney movie where he goes nuts and eats all the children to show the depths of capitalism's affect on the youth culture. It would make no ****ing sense but it might be fun to watch. Similar to the gritty Power Rangers movie, it isn't Power Rangers, but it was fun to watch, sure they wore the costumes, had the names but overall it was nothing that hit that nostalgia button for the original show and this will be along that route.

I don't think I'll see it in theaters as nothing has swayed me so far but I'm interested to actually see it eventually.

It doesn't matter how good the movie is, it won't be accepted on most forums by the fandom because of how far it deviates from the source material. When it comes to the diehard F4 fans, this film is lose lose, people have already made up their minds on it.

I would not mind a gritty Barney movie. I honestly wouldn't. Lol omg imagine the plot? People create a lovable dinosaur who loves kids but sadly he becomes unhinged with his life and goes on a rampage. Only the children's love can stop him as Barney is now consumed by hatred for what mankind did to him.

I think the reason was so that they could cast the best actors possible for the role, that's a pretty big reason to me.

The only thing I've seen stated about it is that Josh Trank was raised in a mixed-ethnicity family so Fantastic Four should represent that. Apparently he also had a bike.

Physical traits should have nothing to do with portraying a character. Thats why Al Pacino should have been cast as Harry Potter and Meryl Streep should have been William Wallace in Braveheart.
