The costumes look good if they turn out to be prototypes, in fact the Human Torch's suit would be a pretty good modern superhero costume if it had some color.

Not going to check out any more pic links, but hope we get a truly bad *** Thing on the big screen. Don't mind the having transition outfits, it makes sense, if they're in some sort of accident. Also, knowing theyre basing stuff on the Negative Zone makes me hopeful for the villains we may see. Having Annihilus and Blastaar on tap... :yess:

"These are the beta versions of the costumes, which is great [...] But, yeah it would be very odd if the Fantastic Four didn't don the traditional costumes. You've got to. There is some servicing there. You've got to give that to the fans. That's what it's all about."

I hate how everything he says about doing something from the comics seems to come off like he begrudgingly added it so the fanboys would shut up. Like putting them in blue suits is ruining the dark and gritty sci-fi movie he's trying to make.

I was thinking the same thing... It just came off that way

That's probably how he means it. There's nothing more annoying than entitled crybaby fanboys. If blue suits will shut half them up then go for it.

I'm hoping we get at least glimpse of them in this movie.

As expected (by any who has seen a modern superhero origin movie and didn't jump to conclusions) the four will wear the classic costumes.

This did not seem like an obvious move to me, and in fact runs quite counter to the comments he has given thus far and mood he is trying to convey. Obviously, I'm glad on one level, but I'm not sure how classic costumes are going to be justifiable in a film world where things are supposed to be so "gritty and grounded," etc. It does feel like this is a recent decision, made after feeling so much backlash. Which would be too bad, if true. To make some half-assed attempt to appease traditional comic fans after previously making a firm decision to ignore the classic comics (where Sue is the secretary ****, etc.) would seem worse than just sticking to his guns. Maybe the studio forced him to do it, though.

Johnnys suit is tight spandex look and Sue's matches that above except the colour. Once they master their powers they'll be getting rid of the various apparatus so adding blue and maybe a logo is all they gotta do really.

Don't see how this wasn't obvious. Almost every modern superhero movie has had a prototype suit. Batman Begins, Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man ect...

They've been hinting at them wearing their "real"suits for over a year now, I highly doubt this was a last minute decision.

I think Kinberg even did an interview saying they'll get their more traditional suits by the end of the film.

Geez, another tweet from Trank this afternoon:

Apparenly some fans have taken issue with how we'll be presenting Sue Storm so as another bit of fan service there will be about five solid minutes in the film where she will NOT be slutting it up as the team's personal secretary.

I'm confused by his quote there, Khev, since as we all know, the **** secretary was classic Sue. Looks like he's doing another 180! Next thing you know we'll have classic Lee/Kirby crack whore Alicia Masters in the mix.

Please share some of these hints, as I may have missed something else hinted along the way. I've followed every link I've seen in this thread, and this is the first time I recall even a remote suggestion that this could happen. In fact, I thought he made it a point of pride to point out that he wasn't releasing any hints at all for the longest time!

It's been a while but I'll try and dig them up.

:lol,:lol

Good for him hittin back at the haters. They focused on one word of his Sue comment and went mad while ignoring the rest where he said she'll be a strong scientific character.

Talk about taking things out of context :slap
