Trailer confirmed that it's a generic superhero origin in dark tones with depressing mood.
Dippé Spawn, Singer's X-men, Leterrier's TIH, etc.
FX and designs look very 90s.

Toby Kebbell is the only actor I like from this cast.

Nope, you're wrong.

This is so gross yet so beautiful at the same time.

I have zero interest in convincing anyone of anything. This film may very well may be awful, but I'm here stating my opinion that it looks decent. I'm optimistic. I enjoy the Marvel Studios films as much as the next casual fan, but there's no denying the massive amount of narrow-sighted slack that studio gets for basically releasing the same formulaic, family-friendly film two to three times a year. Meanwhile everything DC, Fox, and Sony does (no matter how similar or different) is held over coals for people to flip flop on every time a new trailer is released. Really bugs me.

I get you. Like when Marvel changes something from the comics it's okay but WB, Fox or Sony does it and here's a huge outrage.

They get carte blanché while others are picked apart.

If I understand correctly from the trailer, the four of them go to another dimension, and from that dimension they gain powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men? If so then I guess this opens the door to blastaar, and Annihilus.

Correct. Would love a post-credit scene of one of them in the N-Zone watching the 5 from across the mountains.

Don't like the cast so I'm passing at the theatre. I'll give it a Redbox rental though.

This commercial is a lot better than the previous stuff we've seen IMO, because the tone isn't quite as bleak as we've seen before. Richards seems bright and optimistic even, and the trailer ends with a jokey kind of moment. My primary quibble with everything we've seen to this point has been the woefully inappropriate tone. Doom still looks like poo, but what can you do?

It looks like Dooms hood/cape are forged from the tattered remains of a jacket or maybe the interdimensional suits they use in the movie. So...ragman may be a pretty apt name for him after all :lol

I'm genuinely interested in how he's going to be portrayed. Staying hopeful here :panic:

Feige would give us Blastaar or Annihilus. Those two characters are way too comic booky for this kind of movie. I will say, that up till that trailer, I wanted to see the new Reese Witherspoon/Sofia Vergara buddy movie more than this (that should illustrate my disinterest). This really perked my ears up a bit. Is it the Fantastic Four I wanted, no. But does it look like a good move, could very well be. The plane/Thing scene looked really great.

I liked the second trailer. :)

Looks like it's possibly going to at least lower the mockery to a quiet mumble now. It all looks pretty cool - Doom aside, but it's still not the FF I grew up with.
