I also didn't care for Michael Keaton being cast as Batman because he's too small. At least Affleck will physically look the part. I hated Kevin Costner cast as Robin Hood because he couldn't pull off an English accent. I hated Jennifer Garner cast as Elektra. I thought Mellina Kanakaredes was perfect for the role since she was, y'know. GREEK, looked more naturally somber. There was an uproar when Tom Cruise was cast as L'Estat, a character based on Rutger Hauer. I did an eyeroll when Joan Chen was cast as a native American in On Deadly Ground. There is a long history of objection to actors portraying characters to whom they bear little resemblance to and it has nothing to do with race.
I'm glad Marvel Studios waited to introduce Black Panther until their brand was at full force, and more importantly because the story dictates his inclusion.

I don't agree - they have the potential to be brilliant in live action.

It's been mentioned before, but Chiklis & Evans were excellent, the crud of those two movies aside.

We'll see, huh.

I remember how terrible the initial First Class promo shots looked. Just awful. And that movie ended up being one of the best made comic movies yet.

Promo and poster "art" is long dead. It's just kids with stolen Photoshop anymore. Dumb and ugly is cheap, but they make a million doing it anyway.
