I'm thinking that the director of this dripping bag of excised tumors hired 40 psychologists who got their "degree" in the last decade to read a few comics, then write a superhero script.

WTF did I just read.

:lol :lol :lol

New thread title please - > 'The FAUXTASTIC FAUX'.

I love it! This is going to bomb so bad, it's not even funny anymore. And the best part is that they already have a sequel planned for this. Now bring on the trailer next. I'm sure that will be a treat!

Yeeesh. Doesn't sound good

Kebbell plays a good villain so while not like classic doom hopefully he'll still be a good villain but Man they really need to do some damage control

Plenty of in-accurate CBMs have been successful. There's no correlation between in-accuracy and box office

I agree with that. There are some things that just won't translate that well from comic to film. My point was some liberties that are taken are not taken so well. Look at Galactus from Fantastic Four 2. Sometimes the inaccuracies can a negative impact on the reception of characters, plots, themes, etc in movies.

It's still very possible that this will be a good movie. But it's not going to bear much resemblance to the FF. At which point, I kinda wish they would just do their own thing and not maintain the very superficial similarities to the comic. If this were a live action version of Planetary or something, then I could more easily buy what they're selling.

I'd like to see a version of Romeo and Juliet although it will be less of a romantic story of forbidden love and more of a slapstick comedy about a guy getting his dog shampooed.

so... Yeah.. this is from the director who is actively discouraging the actors not to read the comics ( likely because he's not a fan of being told he's an idiot).

This SOUNDS really bad. He's ignoring continuity because it suits him, so he can re-imagine high science-fiction super heroes in a more grounded way....

And he's going on to make a star wars movie after this?

Yeah, this is not so much bad for the fantastic four ( Kinda expecting that to be poop) as it is REALLY bad news for Star wars :lol

You gave me a heart attack :lol he's gonna do a standalone film and not one of the main saga film phew...

So that's what he drapes himself with when he leaves his mom's basement? What sets him off, Johnny Storm "flaming" him on a messageboard? He puts Sue on Ignore so he can't "see" her posts?

Might as well call him a hacking DOOMIST. Who dresses up in a snake like costume. Seriously, that costume looks like it was put together by shopping at a thrift store. I guess the FF will be saving the world from an online apocalypse. Sounds.... LAME.
