Whether I see it will determine on how it looks in trailers.

From the sound of it Doom will be completely unlike Doom but whether he's a good villain or not is unknown. Malekith was accurate but completely forgettable whereas Joker wasn't Red Hood who got dropped into a Vat but he was still great so

The Avengers films felt and looked a bit small, imo. The whole film pretty much takes place in the Helicarrier and a few streets in NY AOU looks better already and hopefully, Ultron is no joke.

To be fair, Incredible Hulk, IM2, IM3, and Thor 2 were mediocre. Imo, Avengers, IM, Capt 1 and 2, Thor1 and GOTG were good/ok/great films.

I'll say the only amazing movies that came out from Marvel imo are IM1, TWS and avengers....... Gotg was good aswell....... everything else has been very Meh. And yes Im a huge marvel fan.

Nope, it just reinforced what I was thinking while watching the whole time, that I was watching a comedy. I never got that epic feel from The Avengers because throughout the movie there wasn’t any real sense of peril for the team and that scene was the cherry on top.

From a filmmaking perspective Whedon just isn’t very good, the movie just had the look of a TV show with terrible cinematography and cheesy dialogue. After about 2 years it doesn’t seem like it’s aging well already, especially with TWS and Guardians being vastly superior films.

Avengers holds up for me because it delivers where it matters, it's fun. Fun trumps any TV look, cinematography issues or cheesy dialogue.

TDKR was supposed to be the vastly superior serious 70mm IMAX movie, that movie sucks.

While GOTG is a better movie than GL, TDKR and MOS, I actually still prefer the comedy from Avengers because it felt less forced and more natural than GOTG.

TWS does have superior action than Avengers, but that doesn't make Avengers a bad movie for me.

Avengers delivers the goods regardless if peril is present or not, why, because The Avengers assembled on a big freaking screen for the first time, that's why.

For a director that is terrible he gave us one of the most memorable and crowd pleasing cbm moments in cbm history, Hulk smashing Loki.

If you didn't stand up and cheer with a huge grin on your face during that scene than you are souless or a liar.

Not bad for a terrible director.

While I rate Avengers as average. I did lol pretty good at:

Cap telling hulk to 'Smash'
Hulk smashing Loki
and the Galaga bit.

I don't agree that Whedon isn't a good filmmaker. I think he's quite good. But he does have a particular style that you can trace back to Buffy, through Firefly/Serenity, and on into Avengers. And it is meant to be funny, cheesy, heavy, and inspirational in different doses. I can understand folks not getting where he's coming from (my wife hates Buffy which I enjoy, but loves Grimm, which I can't stand), but I'm personally a fan, and am glad he finally had an opportunity to show the masses what he was capable of with Avengers. I thought Avengers had its faults, but every comic movie does. . .unless you count A History of Violence, of course, which was damn near a perfect film.

HOV is good, it just needs some TWS shaky cam violence to make it better.
