Faux bronze just a fad?

There is too much Bowen stuff out there to want to slide down that slippery slope.

And not enough money in my wallet! Plus, there just gets to be a point where you say "No." Granted, it's difficult at times but I found myself at one point buying every little piece that sparked any slight interest. I learned real quick from that mistake. Not only that, but it's nice to keep your collection "elite." In my opinion, I go from the "must-haves," keep it simple and stick with ONE company and in my case one line (with a few stragglers that I don't have the heart to sell. ) Nothing against this piece by ANY means because it looks great and its Bowen (you can't go wrong there.) I can definitely see why owners of the FB Hulk would want to get a hold of it too. However, It's just not my thing.

FB Hulk is prolly the only one I'm interested in, it's like you have to get all these in order for them to display nicely and I don't wanna do that, plus the size difference, most of my statues are PF and most of Sideshow Comiquette are bigger than the FB statues... I'm afraid it will just look silly at the end of it all!!!

Do what I am doing and don't bother getting either.

If I was doing what you are doing, I would be winning A Bowen Silver Surfer, flipping a statue and making a few hundred bucks, and then relaxing on the beach while your old co-worker busts his butt moving!

i just can't get excited about these fb statues, they just don't look right to me. imo.
more variants on a already common statues. i would rather have the painted versions

i just think that there are much better pieces out there for the price of one of these now. these things sell like hot cakes on ebay for $450-550, but if u got it 4 retail then kudos 2 u, i will b happy with my spidey

think of this situation. a relative or friend of yours comes over and he's looking at your statues. now he's not really into them but he can appreciate the quality and how good they look, right. then he sees the FB statues, you know what he's thinking WTH someone really screuued up on that paint job.

like i said, when i buy a statue, i want to know what it's suppose to look like. not another variation that someone can pump out with ease, with very little extra input and charge a bunch more $$$$ for it.

Why the recent hate on the Bowen FB pieces? I'm thinking it's from those that didn't get hem. no denying they look fantastic. Granted, Abomination maybe a second tier character, but I wouldn't have gotten him unless in FB form to match my Hulk.

i don;t have a hate on for them, i just had to make a choice about which lines to go after, and with space as a concern (like most collectors) these one just didn't make the cut for me.

though i can see someone that's a hard die fan of a certain character, getting these to complete their line.

so because you don't have the space for them, you assume that "friends" who come over to see them will be disgusted by them?

Abom will be the last non-A lister in FB.

Randy did it for a companion piece for those that own the FB Hulk.

These will be highly sought after down the road.

Prices may dip if a flood hits Ebay but they will go up fast once they dry up.

These are a level above any other Marvel statue IMO.

i just wish i wouldn't have cancelled my pre-orders. granted, i managed to find them for relatively cheap recently, but i coulda/woulda/shoulda kept my first batch for flipping
