Faux bronze just a fad?

damn a lot of sour grapes haters out there who missed out and trying to justify not owning any.

Hardly a sour grape but I look at Faux Bronze like I look at chrome pieces. It great for those who want it. The FB looks good and there is a market for it so I don't see it as a passing fad.

I like this FB line. Too bad they are website exclusive and Bowen does not sell outside USA. Ebay prices are just ridiculous.

yeah, there certainly is a demand for these, judging by the prices. though the next batch (and i'm sure there will be more to come) i'm thinking won't be as cheap on the original retail price.

I had two of them, and the sculpts really are not the impressive. I say on par with some of hard heros stuff. Maybe they (hard hero) should dip their statues in bronze too

I was digging the Spidey as well when the pre-order was coming but then I saw the head and it looked weird to me for some reason... Later on there were more pics of Spidey and he looked better, I had a feeling that he might look different in person and maybe it was a weird angle that they took the shot(pic) at on him!

That guy had the best pics so far, but i wish the lighting wasnt washing out the finish of the statue.

I personally don't like them either; they remind me of the cheap fake bronze or pewter Marvel ministatues that I used to see on the clearance rack at KB Toys in the mid 90's (I think they were made by Toy Biz, but not sure). When it comes to displayability and quality, Sideshow's PFs are the best.

That said, they obviously are popular with some people so each to their own. Grats to you guys who managed to get these before they sold out.

All I can speak on is the Faux Bronze Hulk, and it looks classy and awesome as hell. It's my only Bowen piece (I think).
