I am curious to what everyones favorite movie of '06 was. When you post you can only type ONE movie. I know it is tempting to type your favorite and then 5 other movies that you liked... but that is not the game:D

I will start...

The Departed

In a Boston accent...

The Departed.

"I'm the guy who does his job. You must be the other guy."

V for Vendetta.....No wait, Rocky Balboa.....no, The Decent....Hell I dont know there were so many this year:confused:

So Far "The Departed" has been my clear favourite, but I just saw "Casino Royale" finally and it is definitely the BEST Bond movie since the Connery days IMO...it might just be my 'guilty pleasure' film of the year...

No love for Goldeneye Fett.....?

My favorite drama movie of 2006 = The Departed

My favorite underrated movie of the year for 2006 = Crank

My favorite action movie = Casino Royale and Running Scared (tie)

You know what, I can't even remember what the movies for 2006 have been. Mostly been forgettable movies, but I also liked the Illustionist, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (surprisingly this movie was quite entertaining because I loathed the Anchor Man), Stranger Than Fiction, Green Street Hooligans (apparently made in 2005 but not released in North America until 2006), My Super Ex-Girlfriend (a MASSIVE pleasant surprise), and Invincible.

I know I am missing a lot of great movies there, but 2006 has left me clueless as to what I seen. I do know I wanted to end 2006 by seeing Children of Men. I heard it's supposed to be amazing. Don't know why it's only in select theatres with the abundance of positive reviews it's been getting and its amazing cast.

Man, this list sucks in comparison to past years. Not to mention I don't go to movies as often as I used to back in 2003.

I don't think you need to consider "Casino Royale" a guilty pleasure--it got some of the best reviews and made more money (total worldwide box office) than any other film in the series. (In terms of the percentage of positive reviews from the major critics, it ranks third out of all current theatrical releases at Rotten Tomatoes.) The vast majority of critics thought very highly of this film.

Now "Die Another Day"...

There's a movie you should feel guilty about enjoying!

No, you should be Embarrassed for enjoying Die Another Day...

Didn't see the Departed cause' I can't take Damon or DiCaprio seriously, I liked POTC 2 but not loved, I didn't see the prestige like a jerk and I'm not a bond fan after Moore.

So what will it be?

Monster House

I actually enjoyed it more than anything else this year. I felt like it was a weak year. For me X3 and Superman disappointed, so no good hero's, and nothing else really got me. OH Tenacious D POD, is a close runner up, it was stupid, it was lewd, it was more honest and less pretentious than a lot of crap that hit in 2006.

HERE'S TO Spidey 3 in 07 YEAH!!!

WOW! Looks like I need to get my butt in gear and see The Departed. My favorite movie so far though would have to be Clerks II.
