WOW...since Children of Men came out in 2006, this goes to the top of my list. AMAZING movie....

I have to agree.... I just got back from seeing it and damn... Fantastic film, very hard to not leave and be a little shellshocked. It'll make you really think, not only about the world and the direction it's going in.... but about the human race and the chaos we bring.

I'm still reeling from it.

I have heard great things about this movie. I have even heard a couple critics say that this movie will be regarded in 20 years the way we regard Bladerunner today. Thats a pretty big statement. I really want to check it out.

I will definitely be seeing Children of Men this weekend. This along with Letters From Iwo Jima and Pan's Labyrinth, is one of my most anticipated movies.

All I have to say is that my fiance and I left the theater as if we were assaulted, hardly saying a word and just feeling so down.... The future looks bleak, fellas... that's for sure.

This film struck a cord in me and I'm still analyzing it.... And I have seen War for REAL.... It's THAT brutal.

You have to see it.... You won't regret the decision.

I am going to watch children of Men tomorrow. Definetely check out Letters from Iwo Jima. It is an exellent movie. :D
Once Iwo Jima is released here I will go see it. I looked at the upcoming movies schedule and it still doesn't have a date when this is coming to San Antonio. I figure at worst it will show up after the Golden Globes.

From what I have read, Cuaron started writing this the day after September 11th which may explain a few things.

Already saw Children of Men, plan on seeing Pans Labyrinth either tonight or tomorrow night. Can't wait, suprised to see such good movies around this time, didn't think I would.

Just saw Apocalypto yesterday, and I have to add that as one of the best movies of 2006 (or favorite). Quite an amazing movie, and makes me completely forgive Mel Gibson for his drunken problems. I'll have to see the DVD to find out just how they filmed it, it's crazy.

I agree. Say what you will about Gibson, he is a talented director and storyteller. He could have easily made "The Passion 2" and his Christian audience would have eaten it up, but I give him a lot of credit for trying something completely different and unexpected. Not many people could take a cast of unknown (mostly first time) actors, put them in a film with not a word of English and end up with a film that can be viewed and enjoyed by a mass audience. It was probably the most unique moviegoing experience that I had last year, and it's one of my favorite films of 2006.

Saw Children of Men last night. Great movie. A couple of great twists and A LOT of action.
