My favorite B-List toys used to be

MADBALLS
CENTAURIONS
M.A.S.K.
ARMY ANTS
and these wierd monster puppet heads that were made of really soft, gooey latex that had a gear set-ip inside to move the eyes. they were real cool. if anyone can remember what im talking about and remember the name, that would be awesome.

Boglins by Mattel!!! Those were sweet!

Nice topic man,

Even thought you stole my thunder, M.U.S.C.L.E. figures definitely ranks up at the top!
I love the Super Naturals (have a whole set of those too) made by Tonka of all companies. But some others would be:

Voltron
Captain Power
Zoids

My favorite was M.A.S.K.

(Never really got into the M.U.S.C.L.E. phenomenon.)

Of course I had a boatload of Star Wars and G.I. Joe figures and vehicles. I also liked Thundercats, Transformers, and Masters of the Universe. And for some reason, I remember having a She-Ra action figure as well...

I had a She Ra figure too. My friends all made fun of me but I didn't care. Kind of like when my friends make fun of me for buying "dolls" now. :lol

M.A.S.K. was one of my all time favs. They could re-release the exact same molds of those now and I'd be all over them.

I had all the Voltron figures too (except the Lions that didn't open up to put figures in because I thought they were stupid). I had the castle playset thingy too. I still remember sitting in the living room playing with those while my parents watched a movie. Wow...haven't thought of that in a looooong time.

I loved the C.O.P.S. line too.

And a line that came out later (i was in junior high when I first got one) that I absolutely loved was Exo-Squad. That had to be one of the best toy lines ever made IMO.

I had a bunch of She-Ra figures...I barely remember the show, but I remember the figures and the horse that I used to play with.

You had to have a She-Ra if you kicked it with He-Man...they aired back-to-back.

I always wanted that thing that would hide in the background of every episode--what was it called? Looki or Loki or sumthin' like that?

Voltron was a huge obession of mine as was Thundercats.

I don't know if this counts or not but Captain Harlock and the Queen of a Thousand Years, had they actually had a toy line that I knew about would have been my favorite!!!

How about Mego's Eagle Force? Did you ever notice how the Eagle Force line had almost identical characters to G.I. Joe's first four years? They had a hot blonde chick (Scarlett), a Native American (Spirit), a karate guy, a ninja, two African-Americans (Big Bro and Sgt. Brown--anyone for stereotyping?), a leader named after a bird (Capt. Eagle v. Hawk), a guy with a mustache who looks exactly like the comic book Zap, and a cowboy named WILD BILL! And all of this came out in 1981--before anyone at Hasbro had even discussed bringing back a military toy line.

Or how 'bout Ninja Assassins/Ninja Defenders (Select Merchandise, 1985)? They were these sweet ninjas wth cloth costumes who's heads were robots, insects, or monsters under their masks!!! Anyone have these? I never see them on eBay.:monkey5

Mask was great, they were the fourth toy line I really got into (after Gi-Joe, Star Wars, and He-Man).
I also was into the Muscle figures for a while. And I really wanted to get the Voltron set, I'd always play with my friend's set, never had one myself. I also had some of the Thundercats figures, Madballs, and Boglins.

Some obscure toys that I had when I was a kid that I loved were the Dune figures and worm, the Dungeons and Dragons figures, I had what I believe was a large 12" tall Micronuats figure that had magnetic metal balls for articulation (loved that thing), the original Creature from the Black Lagoon 12" figure, and that Robotech figure that was 12" and could turn into a motorcycle.

Here's that Robotech 12" figure/motorcycle that I'm talking about (I think I still have the figure, but the Cycle pieces are long gone):

YES! I forgot about Z.O.I.D.S.! They were the coolest.

It was more of a game but I olved Crossbows and Catapults. I would just build the castle and try to destroy it all day. :lol

Anyone esle have Popoids as a kid? It seems like I was the only one.

Mousetrap was prolly our favorite bg growing up.

Six Million Dollar man and Evil Knevil rocked the house back in the day. Nothing like jumping that stunt cycle down the basement stairs or see if he could make under the truck tires before he got crushed out on the street.

My parents wouldn't get me the Evel Knievel. :monkey2

Dude, I totatlly forgot how cool the Six Million Dollar Man toys were. Okay, 2 words for you all -- BIONIC BIGFOOT!! I mean he was bigfoot but, like, that wasn't enough... oh, no -- people, he was Bionic!! Bionic -- Bigfoot!!

People wonder what's wrong with TV today and I'll tell ya: there are no Bionic Bigfoots on it.

Did anyone have the evil robot that fell to Earth (that they destroyed by raising it in a helicopter I think?)? Did they ever make that or was that an urban legend?

Wow...I HAD THOSE, THE MAIN VILAIN WAS REAPER, HE HAD A SKULL FACE AND A PURPLE NINJA SUIT,I ALSO HAD THE ROBOT,THE INSECT AND THE WEREWOLF...EVEN IN THOSE TIMES,I WAS ONLY COLLECTING THE BAD GUYS...I'VE BEEN SEARCHING THEM FOR YEARS ON EBAY...

Another favorite toy line from the 80's I had was this monster factory thing. I can't remember the name, it came with monster skeletons that you'd place into chambers and "cast" the body around the skeletons. I could play with that thing for weeks.

It was made. And ultra rare I guess. I saw one at a show several years ago and have regretted not biting the bullet and picking it up ever since.
