Re: Favorite Spider-Man movie (Don't vote till you've seen em all please)

Well, I don't think that for one, Peter is going to hit someone hard enough to go for a kill shot, let alone someone he considers a friend/mentor whos being controlled by a set of octo legs. But also, who knows how he would respond? This is something that bonded with his nervous system. I doubt hes going to have "the average Joe response" to anything.

That being said ASM still #1 MOTHER HUBBARDS!!!

Never felt like Spidey 3 was as bad as people claim.

Re: Favorite Spider-Man movie (Don't vote till you've seen em all please)

I came around to SM3 a little. Some bits aside it has a lot to enjoy.

Re: Favorite Spider-Man movie (Don't vote till you've seen em all please)

i liked that too, it demostrated the lonesome life it must bring.

ASM demonstrated that to an extent too...

...with the loss of Unlce Ben and Captain Stacy. Being Spider-Man brings a terrible price for Peter Parker

:goodpost:

My friends an I talked about this very thing over dinner after the movie.

We all agreed...

that (to borrow this thought from the very first SM) being Spider-Man was a gift and curse for Peter.

Re: Favorite Spider-Man movie (Don't vote till you've seen em all please)

I just saw ASM this weekend. I found it to be a no brainer. My favorite of the group for sure. I find it alot easier to buy the home built webshooters than the organic version in 1-3. And I liked his posing alot more. Seemed to fit what I remember from the comics and cartoons alot closer than tobeys SM character.

Feel like watching SM3 now, just to see if it was as bad as i judged it last time

I watched it again recently and it was a decent movie. Definitely not the turd fest that everyone made it out to be.

It has a good theme going on, Spiderman letting his popularity and pride getting over his head and contrasted by Mary Jane downfall which is the exact opposite of SM2 where Parker is down on his luck and Mary Jane is getting somewhere.

In a way it shows that choosing to be with Parker at the end of SM2 has it consequences.

Honestly, if you remove the Venom and Gwen Stacy subplot, it is a much better movie.

SM3 is one of those tragic example of studio interference. They try to do the same with SM4 by forcing Raimi to add a "Vultress" character and I am glad that Raimi and Tobey walk away.

I enjoyed Spider-man 3, sure its not as good as the other two, but still pretty good.

Re: Favorite Spider-Man movie (Don't vote till you've seen em all please)

I have a new theory on why Doc Ock doesn't feel pain. The mechanical arm infused into his nervous system must have fried some of his senses when it short circuited hence maybe dulling of even completely removing his sense of pain.

When one doesn't feel pain they can appear stronger and can take more damage. I mean they are probably already slowly dying inside from all the internal injuries but Doc Ock didn't stay around long enough for us to find out.

Where do you buy webshooters, I'd like to get my hands on them:rotfl
Anyway, I voted ASM simply because I like the feel of it better than the others. And also, I would agree that SM3 is not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be.

It is. It's still the most disappointing film of all time for me. Holy hell that was rough.

That was from Spider-Man 2. They got all wussy and made them water shooters. I'm glad they brought back the real silly string shooters.

Yeah, it's interchangeable too so you can use string or water if you run out.

Independence Day 2 is easily the greatest superhero movie ever made.

:goodpost:

I liked when Will Smith was flying through those narrow buildings being chased by aliens. Then he and Jeff Goldblum threw the cube at the mothership and disabled all the little ones.
