Wow, I must have seen a different Amazing Spiderman, because my experience was "Meh" at Best.

While I voted for SM2, I have to say that my enjoyment of the Raimi movies has faded quite a bit, they just dont hold up for me.

I'm sure sooner or later someone will get it right and make a great one, but none of these are it, at least not for me.

To this day i still say Spiderman 2, its not just my favorite Spiderman Movie but until The Avengers and TDKR have time to age i would say its my favorite Comic book film, And when it first came out i didnt think so, i was madbecause of the major cliffhanger they left us with, but the characters, the action, the story, all top notch, it just really hit home.

SM2
SM1

I won't even rate the other two. ASM was certainly a better movie, but SM3 was actually an original plot and not a total rehash of another movie. A knock against both and something positive for both. I'd still never wanna rewatch either of them....

ASM's plot other than Uncle Bens dying was original. Don't know about you but i never saw The Lizard plan to evolve mankind by force in-screen before.

Never saw Peter date Gwen or have any kind of relationship with Captain Stacy :dunno

Yea dont even start cuz it's just gonna be a huge ongoing argument. You know how some are lol

ASM for me was the superior beginning story. In Raimi's sm it kinda went too fast, I like that they showed more stuff in the school, the new movie kinda took its time anddid things better and more developed.
the ending to Spiderman was better.

^ SM1 did skip through the timeline pretty quick. That was one of the reasons i liked ASM being set in High School.

As of now i think SM2 is the best, not just as a fun superhero movie but a well rounded "complete package" movie.

However i love what Webb did with ASM and now that he has experience with Spidey i think ASM2 has the potential to be the best Spider-Man, or superhero movie in general.

Next year is gonna be amazing. Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Guardians of The Galaxy :thud:

Potential? Right now all it has is the potential to be even more s**ttier than the first. Don't get me wrong, I want this to be a great movie, but so far it seems just about every villain has been miscast, besides cooper.

I just couldn't get past the scene from AMS where he throws the football back and dents the goal post. There are so many things wrong with that scene, it just makes me annoyed just thinking about them.
  • The football would have just popped before it got even close to denting the pole.
  • The football team is just annoyed with him doing that. Not freaking out like, holy **** this guy just did some superman type ****.
  • He threw it so inaccuratley. He seriously couldn't have been aiming for that. Why not just have him use no effort and throw a perfect spiral and very fast to one of the players. They would go "woah" and end scene.
