Not the most flattering Scarjo pic is it. Wheres her boobs gone?! We all know she has boobs but they look almost completely absent there. They must be compacted across her chest.

Boobs, smash!

And that Hathaway pic is doctored and photoshopped :lecture

Artistic license. Hathaway just isn't that stacked. If she actually looked like that, she'd give Scarlett a run-for-her-money.

THAT is the example you chose? Scarlet >>>>>> Hathaway every day of the week.

(Though I do like Anne's Catwoman. One of the best things about TDKR)

You expected me to respond to that claim with a serious post? :lol

And that's how Hathaway looked in the movie to me. That girl can definitely fill a catsuit.

TDKR and The Avengers will get nominated for BP simply because of the 10 film rule. Otherwise I don't think either of them would stand much of a chance. They'll get plenty of nods I would guess in other categories. I admit I will be watching for sure to see how The Hobbit, The Avengers, and TDKR do.

Personally I don't see any reason that superhero films shouldn't be considered when they're at a certain level of popularity worldwide.

Agreed. Especially if they deserve it! Dramas are usually overrated anyway.

Oh I definitely take Scarlett any day over Hathaway! But I'd take Cobie over both! :yess:

I hope that comment doesn't arise out of the same discriminatory view that the Academy probably has of this genre.

It does.

I don't know....I rarely agree with the Academy's picks anyway.

So who cares if a film I love gets on, but doesn't get nominated. No biggie.

I think we're going to see nominations for:

The Master, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Les Miserables, Anna Karenina, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Moonrise Kingdom.

Avengers and TDKR will duke it out in some technical categories, but I think TDKR has a more Oscar friendly crew and will have the edge.

Moonrise Kingdom was a good, 8/10 stuff for me, hardly Oscar quality but your right it probably will get nominated purely because if the type of quirky film that it is

That's my problem with the Academy - just as you have listed, its fairly easy to predict what films will get nominated in any given year.

It more about the types of films and their subject matter, along with the profile of the cast and crew than about which films were actually the BEST of the year.

Yeah, you can tell a lot of the times and especially now with so many films that can be who will get nominated. I expect The Hobbit will be nominated for BP as all three lotr films were.

I hope you're right, but the Academy might feel like they've been there, done that when it comes to PJ and Middle-Earth. They've overlooked a lot of my favorite movies over the years.

Agree.....
