At the time I voted? No. But I borrowed a bootleg recently and it was awful. People say TDKR and Avengers can't be compared. I think they can be. They're GOOD movies. ASM was a lame remake of SM1.

If I remember the article correctly, he'd called her pre-show and asked her to host an after party for him to celebrate his win for Best Picture. She already had a hunch he was going to lose to Bigelow and agreed to host the party based on that hunch. And it paid off as she continually brought it up, as well as what an egomaniacle dip____ he is, all night long.
I haven't seen Amazing Spiderman but I'm quite confident my vote would still be the Avengers

I doubt they'll get a nod for best picture. The Academy seems to overlook films such as these. They may get nominations for effects and such.

I was taking up someone elses point, I'm not sure if this is true or not, that TDK made the academy up the nomination count for Best Picture to 10 films or whatever it is now...presumably because it was felt that TDK was good enough.
Personally I don't see any reason that superhero films shouldn't be considered when they're at a certain level of popularity worldwide.
