That's what I thought, too. To be fair, though, I think they're only doing a half dozen or so episodes (like WD did in its first season), so it's feasible they could be in production now and air them in August or thereabouts. Plus, I think the pilot was already finished.

I'm actually looking forward to this. I got bored of TWD and still bitter about Frank being fired, I feel a lot of story quality was lost after that.

So with this show being a "fresh" start, I have hopes it'll be something new and a change in the TWD universe.
