Anyone have a suggestion what body to use with the Feng Leon? I put the head on the Hot Toys slim truetype. The body is great, but the neck is WAAAAAY long.

thanks in advance.

-Ron

Aside from the long neck, how is the TT slim height-wise, compared to other 12" figures? The reason I ask is 'cause Jean Reno is 6' 2" (188 cm) tall, and I'm just wondering if the TT slim might not be too short for him, proportionally speaking. He was pretty lanky back then, but noticeably taller than most of the other characters in the film. Maybe a narrow shoulder TT would be better?

A narrow shoulder might be better, but I don't have any laying around! Maybe I'll swap him out with an older kitbash.

At any rate, if I did shorten the neck on the slim, he would be slightly shorter than I'd like. With the long neck, he's an okay height.

I have mine on a Narrow shoulder TT and the neck is fine.

I just did a quick Google search. I had NO idea how short the slim was compared to the narrow. Wow. Better stock up on the narrows... if I can find them! Thanks.

Ive got my leon head in the box still have not looked at it yet.im under with bad food poisoning and I want to be feeling better when i crack it open but as mine is a modded slim so I'm nervous about the long neck. Reno does have a very long neck tho...

Here are some shots of the Leon head on a narrow body and a slim body.

It does appear the neck should be reduced, I just can't bring myself to sanding the neck on a head I paid so much for and is custom painted.

I guess the sake of completing this figure I will have to do the deed.

With a shirt and jacket on my narrow body his neck doesn't look long at all.

Mine has the shirt and jacket, but still looks too long. I did swap out the Heroic turtleneck for a more screen accurate shirt though, which makes the seam visible.

that does look longer than it should be. Mine will be in swat gear so shouldn't be as bad I hope.

Is there a certain pair of pants people are using ?. I was modding some but I think I'd be better off just buying a pair since annoyingly they don't seem to want to dye. Even more frustrating I've gone and somehow lost the pants that came with the heroic figure and still have everything else which is useless. :lol

EDIT : problem solved. Found the heroic pants.

heroic pants are great but barely fasten when the shirt is tucked in i shaves off a lot of his waist and added a clasp and its all god now. I'm still nervous about this damn neck, I've done so much work on Leon already, got the shirt, pants, socks, shoes, hat, suspenders, glasses, body, plant all done.Still have to work on the vest, case and milk... some of the guns too. If the neck is to lng i might have to *gasp* shave down an original Feng!

hopefully I'll find out the verdict tonight and post some pictures. I'm feeling a bit better upon waking up but don't want to jinx it.

Is it something to do with the neck adapter you are using. Looks to be the old style ones which are a bit 'deeper' than the current ones issued.

Mind sharing what shirt, and were it's from?

And to the people using the heroic pants. How do they look on the narrow truetype? They look to be cut so that they sit on top of the boots from the heroic figure. Which would then make them too short once paired with regular shoes.

the pants work well height wise with loafers on a narrow. i think they looked too tight though in the thighs so that's why i used a slim but with slightly bulked out thighs

So the verdict?? Heads amazing but yeah that neck is hella too long. it looked bad on a dressed slim and a dressed narrow shoulders. i tired to convince myself it didn't but the truth is it really did look much too long.

The good news was all it took was about 30 mins of rubbing the head in a circular motion of a fine sandpaper on the floor for and it ended up looking just as smooth and professional as when i got it and the length is perfect now. I stopped just a little past where the neck hair ended.

get that sandpaper ready boys :(

My Leon head arrived today, and it is a WOWZA!! Pictures don't do it justice. I have an idea about how to adjust the neck adapter plug so I don't have to do anything to the length of the neck. But I'm still looking for a body that is like a HT slim in the shoulders, but taller...

Both Feng and Kai have taken their paint apps to a great level. Just the way Leon's hair glistens is utterly lifelike.

THANKS XENOVIPER!

Im quite happy with the head too. Finishing is more refined than my Bond head.. paint job is fantastic. likness is great from the front, a little off from profile though.

my glasses fit on it just perfect, look great, my hat was bit loose on him but still looks great, probably better anyway that it sits a bit loose on the head so not to rub off any paint. guess the Heroic head was bigger than Feng's
