As we move on to the knockout stage there is always the chance of penalty shootouts. I personally am not a fan of them. I don't think that it's fair way to end the game, but right now it's the only way to do so. Do you enjoy them, are you a fan of penalties? What are your thoughts to an alternative to determine a tie? I think that maybe shooting corners would be better.

Fairness isn't part of football. Look at how Greece got through.

France emerges from a relatively easier group... If all goes by plan, we will soon see how they do against Germany.

Nigeria is a good team. Most of the french players can do better than what they did until now, especially Benzema, Pogba and Griezmann. And I think they really need to play better to make it easy. Germany will be something different but I'm more confident France can win that game. Germany didn't lose a game for a long time, that's also because they didn't play against a good team for all that time.

Each time France qualified after the group stage (1958, 1982, 1986, 1998, 2006) they went at least to the semi finals. We didn't forget our semi final against Germany in 1982...

I can't believe that USA qualified.. edging out Portugal (who were the favorites along with Germany to make it from the Group).
Pretty Boy Ronaldo embarrassed himself against Ghana. Poor lad missed like 5 chances.

Breaking news: Uruguay set to give a debut to an unknown striker vs Colombia tonight
