As someone who has played "Soccer" (Dammit it's called FOOTBALL America!!) at school and college.. Yes scoring a volley is really difficult (ahem ahem.. backheel volley anyone?).. So yes, I agree with my fellow freak with it being number one on the list.
That said, however, Van Persie's goal was unbelievable. Considering the situation of the match, I reckon that goal knocked the wind out of the Spaniards.

VP's goal was spectacular, came against the fancied Spaniards and set the tone for a tournament of goal-fests and upsets.

But Cahill's goal was simply brilliant technique... over his shoulder, on his left foot, single drive into the bottom of the crossbar. Superb. It's a pity that we were still getting replays of Robben's goal during the set up play that led to it.

They were the train setters though so they get the blame. :lol

All joking aside they must be under huge pressure but having grew up watching Romario, Leonardo, Rivaldo, Cafu, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo etc, this Brazilian squad just doesn't cut the mustard.

And to think that Dunga was chased out of the job because he did not play the 'Brazilian' way.

Oh I agree, they're bugging me as well. :lol

Brasil is not going to win this.

Fan has ear bitten off before Uruguay-England World Cup match

Chief Superintendent Rachel Barber said: "We were made aware during the England vs. Uruguay match in Sao Paulo that an incident had taken place which resulted in an England fan having a portion of his ear bitten off by another England fan. In the immediate aftermath, we managed to make contact with the victim and offered advice and support. The day after the attack, the victim chose to make a formal complaint to the local police, and they opened an investigation."

chile almost took brazil out. chile's last attack before it went to penalties, hit the goal post. maaaaaaan. that would have been a nationwide tearjerker. lolz

Besides 1,2,3,6 and 7, he ain't so bad. Most, if not all players would have done #4 and the others are small things.

Monty Python script writer at work :)

Are you writing the worldwide newspaper headlines tomorrow by any chance? :lol

Hopefully the sub-editor corrects my spelling :monkey1 If the world's press don't show up with at leastone oral-related pun I'll be very disappointed. :)

Worst 12 things Suarez has done.

4 months is not enough, he shouldn't step foot on a pitch ever again.

As much as I think that the racist, cheating cannibal should never be allowed to play again I'll let him off number 11 on that list as David Moyes deserves all the mockery he gets. He is a village idiot masquerading as a football manager.
