You want no diving or faking? (Well the minimal amount) the leagues in Argentina, Brazil, Italy and a few others, they play like real men in those.

For a casual fan, the constant flopping, diving, and acting like a sniper shot you from 5,000 yards out only to get up and play on seconds later is laughable.

Why can't the greatest tournament the sport has implement a 'real men' rule set?

It is laughable, even if you're not so casual.

Because it's a vicious cycle, refs won't call the fouls if they don't hear a scream or see pain, so the players fake, and the refs won't punish the fakers either.

Argentinean refs seldom call any fouls, the games are non-stop and rough in their league.

Players will continue doing these things until Fifa change the rules.Only way to stop it.

My god this have to be the best extra time period ive ever seen!
Go Costa Rica!!!!!

Louis Van Gaal demonstrated in one substitution why he's a perfect fit for United.

Balls of steel.

I have to give Costa Rica credit there though, there played so well in this tournament. If the England team had just a tiny bit of there spirit & determination may be we would actually get somewhere

They deserved it,but i wanted Costa Rica to win.Me like most people love underdogs that fights like champions.

Go out with a loss on penalties against Holland is certainly nothing to be ashamed of.World Cup's biggest surprise for sure.

:exactly: Oranges dominated the play but I wanted to see CR go the distance against the big boys that remained. Oh well, go oranges. :rock2

Yep, they certainly were the suprise package.

It just shows what can happen when a group of players leave all their egos and rivalries from their clubs behind and unite for the good of the national side.

Holland are probably gonna be knackered for the semi although I think Robben got stronger as the game went on, it's just a shame his diving often overshadows his talent.

Exactly!
Half of the team's players plays in the norwegian league and a one of them that played today is a benchwarmer on a team that is in 13th place. And the level in the norwegian league is not exactly high.
Still,a team with players on that level manage to pull off someting this impressive, anyone can. This performance will be talked about for years.Hell...Im getting their Jersey :D
