What is it about the Netherlands and decisive matches?
They played brilliantly in SA until the final, when they played absolute crap.
And now, against an idea-less Argentina they just stand back and hope for counter-attacks? Against a team that barely made it against Iran and Switzerland? What the hell is up with that?
Germany it is then. I was up for them from early on, dallied a bit with the US but once they went out I defaulted back to Germany. You'd have to fancy them to win it.
I would've liked a Germany-Netherlands final, until I watched the second semi. The boring-ass, cynical, shut-down tactics from the Dutch in particular was disappointing. Argentina-Germany will be as good a final as any.
Was asleep during the 90 minutes and woke up in the 2nd half of extra time. I didn't miss much, apparently.
Hoping for a German win come Sunday. Argentina have failed to impress for the whole tournament, so at the moment it looks impossible to predict anything other than a German win. But you never know.
