I doubt Argentina are going to let Germany make a mockery of them like they did Brazil

Germany have struggled in a couple of matches too. There obviously going to win though

man, what a let down.... (Specially from yesterday)

I don't understand KNOWING that Krul saved them in the last game, why didn't they save one of the changes to put him in......

I think Krul would have done a better job. That one left me scratching my head. :cuckoo:

Not a fan of soccer, but I have an argentinian friend so... god the mess she made :lol

It seems Germany always beated Argentina, so I guess this final is particularly frightening for them, somehow I think Argentina will win. I hope they do

Apparently the other keeper was a bit pissed off at being substituted last time, he wasn't told about that plan. He wanted to stay in goals for a shootout in today's match. Probably a mistake. But then he couldn't help that 2 of his team mates missed their penalties either.

They're giving Krul WAY too much credit, whenever a goalie saves a PK it's usually luck, if a PK is well kicked unless you guess the direction, you're not going to stop it, in fact, Romero stopped 2 Dutch PK because they were horribly taken.

People saying Krul was a genius move last game, bah, it was luck that he got to save 2 PKs, I doubt Krul wouldn't have made a difference considering Romero also saved 2, and nobody's throwing him a parade on the internet. :lol

that sucks, but I guess I get it.
IF they didn't change them because he got pissed then, that's alright I guess. I understand him but at the same time being proud about his talent is what cost them the game.

well, him being tall has a lot to do with it. that guy is a mountain. Also he was pretty intimidating. Even if he doesn't have the talent that people say he has, his height and his intimidation tactics worked last game.

I'm pretty sure the intimidation alone would have made a difference.

It wouldn't with experienced footballers I don't think.

Costa Rica had never made it that far before, Argentina is different.

Well, 1.93 isn't an odd height for a keeper, I'm guessing it was the intimidation factor, but in this match the ref wasn't allowing the keeper to talk to the shooter.

Besides, it's very different to intimidate Costa Rica than to try to Intimidate Argentina, Argentina is no stranger to this stage of the WC.

yeah I guess so. But these guys were already crying before the penalties even ended so I don't know :lol Everyone was pretty much on edge.

The guys taking penalties for Argentina were Messi Aguero Garay... Players who have played first choice in clubs like Barca, Real Madrid and Man City. You don't intimidate them by screaming Vamos Vamos at them.

You make them more relaxed, chuckle at your lameness and tuck away the shot.

Krul is a mediocre keeper and a worse player. Manuel Neur is a great goalkeeper and he stops a lot of penalties without having to go scream at the faces of the opponents.

Being tall doesn't really help you. The taller you are the longer it takes to get down to the corner. It was funny they did a sport science on PKs on ESPN and they found a ball in the right spot with pace is scientifically impossible to save.

Exactly.

But I get where crows is coming from. Krul is one ugly, scary mother****er. The way he got on the Costa Rican player' save before the penalty made me dislike him a lot.

Serves him well.

Yes, exactly.

That sport science show was pretty good.

:lol I don't think he's scary, he's ugly, but like an ugly version of Ashton Kutcher not "scary" ugly :lol

Exactly.
