I dont know how you guys are making Argentina a favourite. I wont be surprised if they dont qualify. Have you seen them? The only way they have those huge wins is because Messi, Aguero and Higuain play in the front line and behind them Di Maria and Lavezzi push through. Thats it. after that the defence and goalkeeping are the worst in the world. Again teams with weak defences who leave big gaps in the back they will seem very strong. Once they face an organised strong team, they will struggle to pace forward and then easily concede a goal from a set piece or a counter attack.

Same old England tonight, playing as a bunch of individuals instead of a team, personally I think you play your strongest team in the last few games running up to a tournament so the 11 on the pitch get used to each other.

I've been saying Brazil will win it for some time, usually a good team with home Advantage does well.

Guys, don't worry too much. Italy are beating Luxembourg at half time by 1-0 and are playing worse than England...plus we are more or less full strength However, I'm a firm believer that you always play better when it counts and friendlies should be treated just like a training match...

I don get that either. While I love to see them win, it is highly unlikely.

Messi hasn't done a damn thing with the Argentinian team as far as I can remember. Hell never be Maradona, as much as that sucks to hear to some.

Hahahaha...Chris you are right! Italy hit the crossbar and post abt 4 times all by Balotelli no excuse...a team like Italy at 90% full strength should at the very least be beating a side like Luxembourg! I still can't believe it

Ingerland beat Peru and draw with the mighty Ecuador....look out world!

Somebody ought to suggest to Rooney that he might be in for a pay rise if he has a good tournament.

At club level that approach is usually enough to get a couple of months worth of decent football out of him then he usually disappears again.

The tragedy for Ingerland is that he's the closest thing they have to a decent player, but only if he can be bothered.

No offence taken, I'm English but couldn't give two s***s about the national team. I wrote them off as a lost cause several shootouts ago

History shows that most of the teams that go far in tournaments have a settled lineup and playing system long before the pre-tournament friendlies start but no matter who the manager is England always end up "experimenting" right up until the tournament starts....it's no wonder the team always looks so incoherent.

I'll watch the Netherlands once the tournament starts, I may as well get behind Louis Van Gaal since he'll be managing United next season. He's already managed to make Robin Van Persie run round like a spring chicken instead of pretending to be injured for half the season like he did under Moyes so he's doing something right.
