Such is life Les. You can't be everywhere and once. You do too much - You're not Superman, you know. ;)

Sorry to hear about your Mom's toe. I've stubbed my toe before and you wouldn't believe how much they hurt, let alone breaking one! It sucks to have that happen right around Mother's day too. At least she has you Les! I'm sure you a more of a help than you think you are.

Just take your time. Us regulars know you can't rush art. Just make that email and put those newbies in their place. You have a life. You can't get stuff done overnight.

Thnx! Yeah, we're ducking and dodging here in Phill. Nothing too close but heck any twister is too close.

Do hope your mom heals quickly. Will keep her in my thoughts.

Funny story on broken toes. When me and my sister where growing up we had one of those brother/sister fights. Well, my mom trying to get us to stop kicked me in the ass and managed to break the little toe on her right foot. Serves her right for trying to stop us. :lol

Les,
Sorry to hear about your Mom,I'm sure having you around helped her feel better.
Take as long as you need to do my 9th Doctor & Rose heads,I know they'll be worth the wait.

Les,
Sorry about the ongoing struggles with your mom's health. hopefully the toe will heal fine.

As to all your emails I wonder if your list/schedule that you posted added to the flooding of mail. I wonder if somebody didn't see their's on the list panicked and sent you a message. I know I had a moment of worry that my piece might have been lost but then I thought he’s probably just posting a partial list and come on it’s Les, no reason to worry or bother Les. So maybe with the next list/schedule put an astriex or something saying for those of you not seeing yours on the list have no fear it's still on the master list, maybe that will help keep the emails at bay.

For those who have never had a piece by Les before it's worth the wait! :D

Thanks, Adorable One, on the Blade update. I've been zooming around your thread so I know how busy you've been. I'll keep an eye out for him.

Again, thanks, and here's hoping all goes well with you and your family.

Thanks Zoomie! :D Hope you like him! Keep him out of jail!

Thanks a lot Superdoug. You are right about not mentioning all works. I can't in every post. Just too many variants. I have one guy I am doing about 20 heads for, and all his are totally different from anything I list. So, yeah stuff gets left out. Good call. No worries all! :D I am doing my best to get to everything. I even went out this morning and got a new cutting board for my desk, something I really needed, and a thread spool rack, you know, where you can vertically stack spools of thread. I realized there was a perfect vertical working display for heads in progress. The Hickes alone will cover the damned thing! :lol But I will use it soon. That oughta show more in-progs when I can get some shots.

And thanks about the wait. I try. Until they get my work for the first time, I guess I can understand the worry. That is a reasonable human reaction. But thanks for the backup. I hope they all think so when they get their long awaited stuff.

Even before I got my first Les repaint, I knew artwork took time. After getting one, I could wait for a year (I hope thats not the case, but I would).

Just do what you can buddy. We all know you are trying, but with your loadwork and life, things take time.

It's tough to be the King sometimes.

Les, if I could, I'd send you the gift of warm saki to keep you happy. But I'm working on something else that I hope will do....:D

Curious.....

Sounds cool Mike. Look forward to it.

Saw some interest in a Chaplin figure in several other threads, and as I am VERY into him these days, (I have almost EVERY Chaplin movie on DVD now) I have already started up one for my own purposes (see my Comedy Masters page at my site with Groucho, to see my new interest in this sorely untapped figure area...), and I hope to have a prototype Chaplin soon.

There are several areas to solve, namely the bowler and cane, as they are pretty specific in shape and design, and the need for both is crucial.
Also, the shoes. I am thinking of sculpting those also. As for a body, either a SS short or a Dragon, as he is small, and any other body is too tall for him. A SS short has the feet pegs for solid shoes too, so that may be even better.

Here is a quickly repainted inexpensive 9" doll I got on Ebay that is cute, but isn't quite enough to suit me...

I just wanted something to have around, and this stunted looking doll is nice as a collectible, but not what I want. So I am working on my version of one, including accessories. It's taking time within all else I have going on, but I am serious about making some.

Working on it. Just letting you all know.

Anyway, back to work. Paints to do.

He looks great in that shot from just above the hand and up. Whole pic, he looks like a Midget version of Chaplin. The headsculpt doesn't look too bad though.

I like that kind of look for the headsculpt, but I want an even more iconic look that this. There are so many expressions one can go for. I want one that is purely my own favorite though. I have started this Chaplin headsculpt, as well as the one for the Jack Napier, so those will be sooner than later. Lots on progress. Too much! LOL! But it's all getting done.

Just a reminder to anyone interested...
Since the advent of Andy's Bale is soon, I will be available for Bale head paints. To remind all...

And, come DCD and Hot Toys time, I will make sure I have plenty of space available for Jokers!

I savor the opportunity to paint up more of these guys! In all of his varied incarnations!

Just for your info.

Can't wait to see the HOT TOYS figures soon! :rock
This is gonna be great!

That Bale is INSANE! SO glad I scored one. Great news Les.

Best Sculpt ever of one of the Hottest Actors on the Planet.

And very versatile. Many uses for it.

For me:
Bruce Wayne
Batman unmasked
T4 John Connor ( assuming the hairstyle isn't too different from the JC in T2)

The eyes on those two heads are fantastic. That precision in the center of the crazy Joker face is really creepy.

I can't wait to see how Les (and Josh) paint up those DCD and Hot Toys Jokers. Once you get one as good as the one I have, I doubt I will be able to accept a factory paint job.
